JSherm55
I remember reading an article on Michale Westbrook about how he was pretty much done with football and glad to be out of the game. Kind of surprised when I read he was helping at a big football camp in Boulder. I'm glad he's back in the game though, helping out young kids. I would hate to see a guy resent a sport he played for the rest of his life.
sideshow24
I know I won't be the only one clicking this to read about Bryan Westbrook.
SWFLSkins
Yeah good to hear and all, but the thread title at this point needs the "Micheal" added, IMO.
mossomo
I know I won't be the only one clicking this to read about Bryan Westbrook. You are not. Michael Westbrook Claim to infamy came in an overtime game against the New York Giants late in the 1997 season. On one play, Westbrook said a linebacker stuck his hand through his facemask and poked him in the eye. He left the game momentarily. On the next play back, he thought he made a catch near the sidelines. Three referees huddled and decided he was bobbling the ball as he went out of bounds. Westbrook took off his helmet and slammed it to the ground. He was penalized 15 yards and the Redskins were backed up out of field-goal range. The game ended in a tie and the Redskins finished the season 8-7-1 and out of the playoffs. If they had won, they would have been in the playoffs. Remember this game like it was yesterday but I don't think you can bring this up without a mention of Frerotte taking himself out of the game by ramming his head into a wall. I thought his claim to infamy was blindsiding Stephen Davis at practice and beating him about the head.
