dreamingwolf
I love John Cleese, but that was dumb come on that was a clever accusation, as a Rugby player in the past and American Football player in the past I find it funny how football calls its things. Touchdowns are merely crossing the plane, while in Rugby scoring the try requires touching the ball to the ground, line of scrimage ect... Its their game we just changed the rules and names, and named it after their game. I think he has a fair gripe. We just need to accept our arrogance, and let others accept the fact that they will have to deal with our arrogance. If they want to cry like cleese so be it, I will still laugh at his works and his tears over us calling it soccer.
RLeVan
As funny as that skit is, it will never find humor here. Much like Peter King reporting on the World Cup asking why there is no clock inside the stadium letting him know how much time is left in the game.
