Redskins432
So, at the end of March, i'm heading out to visit with my grandparents in the Phoenix Arizon area. I was definately planning on going to the Grand Canyon but i had a question. Anybody ever been to the Canyon Skywalk? Is there anything else to do out on the Western Rim? Or would I be better off going to the Southern Rim and the state park. My dilemma is just that these two places are so far apart? Any Rick Steeve's type traveling info would be greately appreciated! Thanks!!
PCS
I haven't been,(sad I know),but I have and am planning to do so in the future. Here's some info about the Western Rim and such. I'm planning on doing some hiking and such one day so that's what interests me. http://www.lvlg.com/lasvegas/attracts/grand-canyon-south-rim.htm If anything, its a good starting point for finding information about the area. Rdskn4Lyf21
At the Southern Rim there's a cool IMAX showing of the Grand Canyon and it's initial explorations.
Corcaigh
If you're in reasonable shape I'd recommend hiking down to the river from the South Rim. With an early enough start and steady progress you can easily do it in a day. EDIT: just saw the bit about with the grandparents. That might be a challenge for them.
