Justin in NoCal
Hate on Cerrato all you like, he drafted some studs. I am not impressed with Allens draft history one bit. Thoughts? Keep in mind there are two notes about this: 1) John Gruden got his say with most of the picks 2) The Bucs owners are supposed penny pinchers that didn't want high draft picks spent on expensive positions. Not sure I really buy this though... 2008 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rd Sel # Player Position School 1 20 Aqib Talib CB Kansas 2 58 Dexter Jackson WR Appalachian State 3 83 Jeremy Zuttah G Rutgers 4 115 Dre Moore DT Maryland 5 160 Josh Johnson QB San Diego 6 175 Geno Hayes OLB Florida State 7 238 Cory Boyd RB South Carolina 2007 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rd Sel # Player Position School 1 4 Gaines Adams DE Clemson 2 35 Arron Sears G Tennessee 2 64 Sabby Piscitelli SAF Oregon State 3 68 Quincy Black LB New Mexico 4 106 Tanard Jackson FS Syracuse 5 141 Greg Peterson DT North Carolina Central 6 182 Adam Hayward LB Portland State 7 214 Chris Denman T Fresno State 7 245 Marcus Hamilton CB Virginia 7 246 Kenneth Darby RB Alabama 2006 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rd Sel # Player Position School 1 23 Davin Joseph G Oklahoma 2 59 Jeremy Trueblood T Boston College 3 90 Maurice Stovall WR Notre Dame 4 122 Alan Zemaitis CB Penn State 5 156 Julian Jenkins DE Stanford 6 194 Bruce Gradkowski QB Toledo 6 202 T.J. McD5
I love him picking up linemen on both sides of the ball, in the first two rounds.

Chopper Dave
Every draft except that first one had at least 2 solid to starting caliber players in them. 2004: Clayton - great rookie year, fizzled out (injuries, if I'm not mistaken) Will Allen - Pretty decent corner, albeit for the Dolphins 2005: Cadillac Williams - had the potential to be a top 5/10 back in the league, injuries wrecked his career, yet he's STILL a productive back Barrett Ruud - Excellent starting MLB Alex Smith - Decent TE, 2nd string for the Eagles after a few OK years in TB 2006: Davin Joseph - Pro Bowl guard Jeremy Trueblood - starting level tackle Bruce Gradkowski - Worth mentioning, at least... 2007: Gaines Adams - not a good pick, but the type of player that was at a position of need and was universally considered the top DE in the draft class; anyone would've made the pick Arron Sears - Starting level guard (2007 All-rookie team) Sabby Piscatelli - Good DB Tanard Jackson - Very good DB 2008: Aqib Talib - Still early, but looks like he will be a good one Jeremy Zuttah - Also, still early, but capable of playing at a very high level Essentially, his record is better than what we've had. terpskins10
Will Allen - Pretty decent corner, albeit for the Dolphins Wrong Will Allen. The Will Allen you're talking about played for the Giants and now the Dolphins (remember, the "Wills" when they had both Allen and Peterson?). This Will Allen is a safety out of OSU, the one who ravaged Willis McGahee's knee in the Fiesta Bowl. He's still with the Bucs and has started 26 out of a possible 84 games. ST is my boy
Sabby Piscatelli - Good DB I agree mostly its not as bad as people are making it out to be...... But this guy is not a good DB. He is pretty much considered the worst starting safety out there, and opposing teams attack the hell out of him. He is a running joke on the Bucs board. Not that one player matters at all, but just thought I would throw that in there.
