swisha
So my car was towed because I parked on street during rush hour. It was towed and moved to another street. I received a ticket for $100. I am going online to pay for it now but they're charging for "tow fee" and "storage fee" also, another $100 and $640! WTH! I have to pay these fines to "release" my car but I already have it since they towed it to another street. I understand the tow fee but what's up with the storage fee??? Does anyone know if I have to also pay the storage fee?
swisha
So I figure out they charge $20 per day to "store" your car but obviously my car was never stored. I guess I have to wait until tomorrow to deal with them. Wish me luck...
TheGoodBits
Good luck man. I seriously wouldn't pay that much, especially over something so minor.
Kurd Cudins
Considering they never "stored" your car, I'd tell them to **** themselves. You are definitely liable for the tow and fine, but I would never pay the storage fee. Of course, then you'll probably get booted.

National Defense
you must fight it--usually better to defend in person unless you have good photographic/other evidence. in person, you can also claim financial hardship and ask for fine reduction. Rocky21
The District is a bunch of crooks. If I didn't have enough misery at the Chiefs / Skins game, I got a nice red light ticket in the mail the next week. $75. Thanks DC.
