At 34, I think the handwriting was on the wall for him in any case based on what he did in Green Bay in 2001. His play had declined noticeably and was really here to be the #4 tackle behind Powell. He is a street free agent and I wonder if he rehabbed to get another shot when somebody goes down somewhere in the NFL. Defensive tackles are like baseball pitchers, they stick around forever because they are hard to find. Remember Jerry Ball and more recently John Randle?
