deejaydana
Anyone know what the Cardinals' odds were last year of winning the SB? My friend told me 50:1. (don't know if that was legit but sounds close to where the line would have been)...

HighOnHendrix
So based on these odds, if we beat the same number of teams as the number of those that we play with lower odds, and we lose to the same number of teams as those that we play with better odds, we end up 5-11. That sounds like a lot of math right there. I'll just take your word for it.
Hoover-ball
Does noone really know how odds work for betting? They are made not based on media respect or anything but rather in an attempt to even out bet money placed so as to garuntee the house a winner. 30/1 on the cardinals does not mean an expert thinks that is their chances to win it means that is the odds necessary to get significant amounts of bets that way. The lines will change as the year goes on as the money roles in....too much for one team and the odds go down and vice versa. Big city teams always have slightly better odds then their records might suggest because their are more fans gambling on them. If anything it is a list in order of how the experts think the general public feels.
SkinsFTW
I think I'll bet against that Dallas 9-1. What a ****ing joke. How rich would you be if you bet 1k against Dallas' odds to win the SB for the past 13 years? They haven't even won a single playoff game in that span. 9-1, LOL!!
