but seriously, not to disagree with what people are saying, but the kids probably won't listen to the artist that you guys are naming. you guys are right about krs one and all those guys, but i think their message will fall on def ears. my advice to the OP would be to pick positive songs from popular artist. it would take a little more reasearch than simply buyin a positive rapper's cd, but i think it would get a better response. for example, TI has his fair share of negative songs, but he has some positive ones. so putting all of the positive songs from him and others as popular as him on one cd would probably produce the best result.

also, i can't believe nobody has said outkast yet.

I may be mistaken here, after all I haven't heard Dead Prez in a pretty long time, but these guys talk about black supremacy and killing cops.. Don't think that I don't like Dead Prez, because I really do, but are they really that positive?
