What the? That was completely hilarious.

They are making fun of themselves and all their videos about stupid dick jokes and about how it got them famous. It was supposed to be lame and exaggerated like they were trying to "recapture the magic," and they weren't supposed to realize that it was so lame.

I though it was Brilliant.

I agree, and there's another angle there too. As always, they are skewering the popular music industry, which frequently has songs entirely about an artist's sexual prowess. It's just that instead of exaggerating it positively this time, they flipped it around. I thought it was very funny.

I also think that my first sentence above exposes me as a hopeless nerd that thinks about these things too hard.

Seriously, though, my favorite part about I'm on a Boat is how many of my students love it, without seeming to realize that this is exactly what all the other music they listen to sounds like too, without the ironic self-awareness.
