You couldn't come up with an example to refute that claim. So instead you tried to change the scope of the argument. When I called you on it, you resorted to personal attacks and the ver y clever "So What" defense. Now I will give you credit for doing tons of research and crafting a very impressive argument that was completely different than the topic. But kudos for proving a different point entirely. Burgold Posted May 2, 2003 Share Posted May 2, 2003 Kurp, that was really well done. Kilmer, it amazes me that you can not concede to an obvious point. Kurp demonstrated absolutely that the Republicans have tried multiple times to fillibuster, but that their fillibusters were defeated. The fact they were defeated doesn't negate the fact they were attempted. All that leaves you with is the Democrats are the only ones who at this time have successfully pulled off a fillibuster, though it's likely time will make that statement false as well.
