They're a little steep but if you go on eBay search the seller LMAZ and they sell them with free name engraving. I got one for my Sean Taylor jersey and it is amazing. This seems odd to me as I always thought that jerseys were reused for several games....hence the repairs we see occasionally.I talked to the guy at JO Sports today on the phone, and I told him I wanted the most beat up Jansen he had, but he said none of them are really that beat up because the Redskins don't reuse their jerseys like most teams. He said the Redskins use jerseys once, then retire them. I don't know if this is just for starters or what, but that's what he says. I assume this is true starting in 2006, because there are plenty of jerseys with lots of wear in the years 2005 and prior. 2006 is also the year the Redskins began labeling jerseys as coming from specific games. It's also the year the Redskins stopped washing jerseys. So I suspect this "retire jerseys after each game" deal is a new thing that the Redskins started in 2006 as another revenue producing source. Sucks. Edit: I'm looking at the auction and it shows the winning bid was $403. ??? In fact, the highest bid is $590 for the Smoooooot jersey with the 21 patch. WTF? That seems low to me.
