NJskinner
I may be getting ahead of myself here, and by no way am I implying that we will miss the playoffs. But, this thought just crossed my mind, so I thought I would share. Would you rather: Be a good team, (ie. Redskins) and miss the playoffs because the division and therefore your opponents are far superior to any other division out there. Or Be a average team, (ie. Cardinals, Seahawks, 49ers) and make the playoffs because, unfortunately, someone has to come out of the NFC west. My feelings are that I would rather be a good team and miss the playoffs because not only do I love being in the NFC East, but also because I will have more fun watching the Skins battle through their 16 games and miss the playoffs rather than watch sub par football the entire season just to be blown out of the water in the first round. (Although, hosting a playoff game would be very exciting) It's Dallas week....:dallasuck

terpskins10
Bad team and playoffs. There's always a chance you pull one out. If you aren't in the playoffs, there isn't one.
TD_washingtonredskins
It depends on the team. With a young team, I'd rather them be good and miss out since there would most likely be time for them to progress and improve. With an aging team, I'd rather them get in so they at least have a slim chance to catch lightning in a bottle and make a run.
CaptChaos86
Id rather be a bad team and go to the playoffs. Some teams just cant handle the pressure of the postseason (pukes) and its makes that lombardi trophy up for grabs. You cant get the trophy if you dont make the playoffs. TheItalianStallion
I'd like to say "good team & no playoffs," but I have a feeling that, when January rolls around, there's no way that I'd be able to turn down a postseason trip...guess that makes me a sellout.
titus3
how can you be a bad team if you make the playoffs especially coming out of our division??
jfr3ek
this is the worse hypothetical ever, but i'd take a bad team + playoffs anyday. You can become "good" if you win 3 straight games in the playoffs.
hail2skins
Given how tough it is to win games in this league, my best answer would be that if you can win 9 games and get in, you deserve to be there. Now I do have a problem with teams getting in at 8-8. And for as bad as the NFC West supposedly is......well, who knocked us out of the playoffs the past two times, and made it to the Super Bowl one of those times? zCommander
The Skins didn't have any problems winning 3 SB's in this same division before so it really doesn't matter. I rather have a strong team in a strong division and go to the SB and win then be like the hawks and not win.
FunBunch7
Get to the paloffs is what it's all about...ask the Giants. YOu could argue that going into the playoffs last year, the Giants were a mess...despite their "morale victory" losing to the Patriots in the season finale. Certainly no one expected a Super Bowl run...but the DID go a run! Playoffs baby! Extend the season!
ArsheimSkins
I wouldn't trade off bein a Skins fan ever! But I'd say I'd rather make the playoffs

HogNose
Average team and make the playoffs. Once you get into the playoffs anything can happen.

Huge homefield advantage(which they automatically get in the wild card round for winning that sorry ass division). 2. The West, especially the Hawks, blows even harder this year.
