The woman, Trina Bachtel, did die last August, two weeks after her baby boy was stillborn at O’Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens, Ohio. But hospital administrators said Friday that Ms. Bachtel was under the care of an obstetrics practice affiliated with the hospital, that she was never refused treatment and that she was, in fact, insured. click the link above for rest of the article
The Sisko
How convenient that they failed to fully check the validity of the story. Maybe in the NC primary someone should pose as a Hillary backer, tell a similar sad sack tale which Hillary can then relate. Then when the reporters come looking for attribution, tell them you never said any such thing to her. Now THAT would be funny...and evil....but mostly funny. Dan T.
You will never see this story make the drive by media How do you figure that? I saw it on the local news in DC. The link above is from the freaking NY Times. It's a top story on ABC news. You can't miss it. So why do you claim that the media is not on it? ECU-ALUM
CNN has been hammering her on this story. Wow another Clinton lie...and in other news...Water is wet & the sky is blue. Hey Hillary just because you are comparing yourself to fictional character doesn't mean that you can create any stories about yourself.
Dan T.
She was repeating a story told to her by a local sheriff in the jurisdiction where it happened. NBC had video of the guy relating the story to her. She, or her campaign, can be accused of carelessness for not checking the veracity of the story. But labeling this a lie doesn't fit. Thiebear
She is no longer protected by the Main Stream Media as she was before. She is not the "chosen one", Obama is. She is no different than McCain at this point until the race is over and she is a Senator again. (then the umbrella will re-raise.) Welcome to the republican world for a few months... enjoy your brief stay.

She prob knew Wait, so you mean that politicians cherry pick anecdotes to fit their world view and to justify their actions, only to find later the "facts" may not actually be true? I've never heard of such a thing.

Welcome to the republican world for a few months... enjoy your brief stay. I assume you are joking on this part right? McCain is probably one of the most liked politicians by the media in the past few years. Obama is another one of course. But McCain is EXTREMELY popular with the media and most reporters. Most people have openly talked about how a McCain vs Obama election would be a media love fest. McCain is in no way treated hard by the media. Him and Obama are treated extremely lightly. Most politicians don't get that treatment.
Sarge
You mean, the Klintons LIE? Say it ain't so:doh: It's almost like they are stuck in the 90's and don't realize there's this thing called the "internet"
ECU-ALUM
I am waiting for the "I mis-spoke" quote again. If the teachers at my son's school says tht he told a lie...can I just go ahead and say, "Oh he probably just mis-spoke." ? To paraphrase the late Charlton Heston, "If you say something wrong unknowingly it's a mistake, but if you know it's wrong and say it over and over...then it's a lie."
