Alan Faneca may be very good, but he's 31 and struggles in pass protection. Thing is, they probably could have spent less to keep Kendall happy. Instead they trade him and then they over play for another older lineman (admittidly, he's probably better than Kendall, but not in comparison to what their contracts are.)
