KiwiSupaFlyNuka
Impressive. Too bad he goes down with the first graze of contact. Dude needs to improve his lower body strength for the NFL.
JerseyGator
His attitude on the field is what impresses me most about him. Give him a good QB to keeps defenses honest and this guy will dominate if he stays healthy. The last player I watched closely in college who he reminds me of in various ways is Fred Taylor. He can score from anywhere. Who cares if he gets knocked down easy. The SEC over the last two years had the fastest defenses in the country. You can't beat what you can't catch. He scored several times this year on LONG runs against good defenses where anyone with a brain knew he was likely going to get the ball. What's even scarier is that he appears much faster in terms of football speed on artificial turf. I guess the combines are on turf (?).

BurntToast
His numbers are nice but I like his off the filed stats better. http://www.ajc.com/blogs/content/shared-blogs/ajc/falcons/entries/2008/02/24/combine_report.html Darren McFadden created a major buzz at the NFL scouting combine when he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.27 seconds on Sunday. That's also where news got out that McFadden is not only battling a paternity suit, but that he told a team during an interview Saturday night that he has two children on the way. DexterSackMachine
It's doubtful McFadden will get anywhere near the o-line that Peterson has.

Redskins:Victory_or_Death
Why would Bill trade him away? I can only assume that Miami needs SO much to improve that he's looking to get as many draft picks as possible to get as much talent as possible. He's trading superstar (maybe) for quantity. If the Cowpukes want to give it all away, let them. :dallasuck
Brandon Lloyd Christmas
according to espn he ran a 4.33. where are you guys getting 4.27 from?
sableholic
according to espn he ran a 4.33. where are you guys getting 4.27 from? 4.33 = combined from 2 runs I believe.
jrockster21
according to espn he ran a 4.33. where are you guys getting 4.27 from? That's what I saw too. Maybe the 4.27 was the 'unofficial' or hand-timed number.
JMURedskins
The NFL Network had him at an unofficial 4.27. I am guessing that one of the people timing for them got that time but they weren't the official timer. Either way, he is going to be a beast. This is a very good year to need a RB. McFadden Mendenhall Stewart Charles Jones Forte Hart Rice Johnson Smith Slaton Even some players that didn't get as much hype because they were overshaddowed by freshmen studs. Thomas Brown and Washington out of USC.
jrockster21
Why would Bill trade him away? Because the Phins already have Ronnie Brown who was having a monster season before his injury, and if he can get Marion Barber from the Pukes, he would have the best backfield in the NFL. Also, the Dolphins have waaaaay too many needs to keep the #1 pick.
RDSKNfaithfull
according to espn he ran a 4.33. where are you guys getting 4.27 from? When he first ran his unofficial time from NFL network was 4.27 When the guy who's stop watch really matters read 4.
JMURedskins
I am curious to see how his off-field issues come into play with some teams. He is definitely the top prospect coming out of college, but some teams weigh character more than others.
jnhay
When he first ran his unofficial time from NFL network was 4.27 When the guy who's stop watch really matters read 4.33 It's hand-timed versus electronically timed.
JimmyConway
When he first ran his unofficial time from NFL network was 4.27 When the guy who's stop watch really matters read 4.33 I was thinking it was because he ran a 4.33 in his second run. You're probably right though.
SearchHorizon
Obviously, running 4.3 is better than running 4.5 ... but, for a RB, a pure straight ahead speed is not the most important thing. Emmitt Smith, who always managed to kill the Skins, ran about 4.5 or slower.
