Cameron presided over a 1-15 record - the worst in franchise history - and although just one year into a four-year $10million deal, owner H. Wayne Huizenga has seen enough. Huizenga arrived at the team's facility at 5.15pm this evening by helicopter to prepare for the announcement, which is expected to be made official on Thursday morning, according to insiders. While Huizenga gave new head of football operations Bill Parcells full autonomy regarding the hiring of a general manager and coach, he still has to give final approval. Parcells fired General Manager Randy Mueller earlier this week and has been meeting with Dallas Cowboys Vice President of College and Pro scouting Jeff Ireland for two days. Ireland, 37, who worked closely with Parcells in 2005 and '06, is expected to be named general manager tomorrow after Huizenga signs off on the deal. DWinzit
That doesn't sound good for the Cowboys. Who will Ireland be bringing with him Sparano or Garrett?
UVASKINSFAN
That doesn't sound good for the Cowboys. Who will Ireland be bringing with him Sparano or Garrett? My money is on Garrett. Smart move by canning Cameron he is the worst football coach I have ever seen.
Oldskool
And in other news, the sun will rise tomorrow over the East Coast! Cameron inherited a pathetic team and did his best with what Mueller and co gave him. But in the end, you need to burn the house down and start over from the foundation when your team is this rotten. DWinzit
I don't think Cam will be out of work for long. It won't be a HC position, it'll be OC someplace.:2cents:
ratbert_rizzo
Cam Cameron will probably be hired as the Offensive Coordinator for the 49ers at some point this offseason.

2006Skins
Cam Cameron will probably be hired as the Offensive Coordinator for the 49ers at some point this offseason. I have a buddy of mine who's a niners fan, and he's convinced Cam is going to SF. Apparently there's a link between Cam and someone in the 49ers organization. SoCalSkins
After the pukes lose to us next week, it will accelerate the process. It might even cost Wade his job. Would be hilarious if in his first year coaching, Wade ties the record for most wins in Pukes history, but is fired after back to back losses to the Skins. Seabee1973
I don't think Cam will be out of work for long. It won't be a HC position, it'll be OC someplace.:2cents: I think Cam will end up like Norv As OC a few times and failing at the most chances to succeed as head coach
Goaldeje
Seriously, am I the only person who thinks, who the hell names their kid Cam Cameron? Seriously? Anyway. LeBatard had a good line on PTI yesterday talking about this. He asked if Kornheiser really though Bellichick could win with the team Cameron inheirited. Of course, TK slobbered all over Bellicheat, as he normally does. Good question, imo. Wonder what Zoony thinks?
