A look back: 2005 draft

How can you not know Logan Mankins. He is an awsome guard and will be a probowler for sure.

Heath Miller is a key TE for steelers. any other team add another 30% to his stats.

Castillo is one of the key players on chargers D playing DE in a 3-4 and able to rush the passer from his 3-4 end spot. Antrelle rolle is also pretty decent, much like rodgers. he is playing for a bad team though. players sort of disappear when they go to AZ.

I agree on Castillo, even though he took steroids at one point before the draft.

Antrel Rolle doesn't even start for the Cardinals, Eric Green and Roderick Hood start. Also Heath Miller +30% stats is still less than Cooley on a year by year basis, a second round pick.

Nothing to really say about Logan Mankins, its pretty difficult to address other teams' O-line unless they make the Pro Bowl or get crushed on national TV.

Disagree. All of these picks, more than just a few, are quality, legit, first round players IMO.

Ronnie Brown - RB

Braylon Edwards - WR

Carnell Williams - RB

Demarcus Ware - DE

Shawne Merriman - OLB

Jammal Brown - OT

Derrick Johnson - OLB

Travis Johnson - DT

David Pollack - DE (was awesome before breaking his neck)

Marcus Spears - DE

Chris Spencer - OC

Luis Castillo - DT

Marlin Jackson - CB

Heath Miller - TE

Logan Mankins - OG

It does drop off as per usual but they're still quality guys available in the later rounds such as: Frank Gore, Lofa Tatupu, Justin Tuck, Channing Crowder, Marion Barber, Brady Poppinga, Jerome Mathis, Chris Canty, Brandon Jacobs, Trent Cole, Mike Montgomery and Jovan Haye.

I'm not going to argue many of these, but Cadillac's stats are pretty terrible, 798 yards, 1 td, 3.5 ypc 14 games last year. Also, Marcus Spears has 3 sacks in 33 starts (out of 39) in his career, Canty has a whopping 4.5 sacks by comparsion. And Brady Poppinga looked like he was everywhere against us, but his stats doesn't show that he's done anything in 3 years.

Why did you name 3 Cowboys?

The St. Louis line is pretty terrible, lol

Also to the poster earlier, Cooley's stats are almost twice as better than Heath Miller in terms of yards in 2005 and 2006, and better overall in terms of touchdowns.

The Rams lost 3 starters on OL to injury. Barron's the only healthy guy left. He can't do it alone. Our OL stinks right now due to injuries. Does that make Samuels mediocre? Barron's a good player

As for Miller, lay off the stats. If you watch a Steeler game you'll see how important he is to their offense. And right now he and Cooley are having identical seasons.

I dont know about all these players but Ronnie Brown was 3rd in the league in rushing, 2nd in total yard from scrimmage at the time he was injured last week. There was talk of the pro bowl surrounding him so he would be closer to an emerging star than a bust.

He has more yards and higher average than LT, Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson and others.

Cadillac has suffered from injury this year and last year as well as a crappy team.

You have to consider that most of these players went to weak teams (thats how the draft works right?) so they dont have alot of help.

He had surgery in 06 and he finally is back playing now his rookie year in 05 started 6 games and had 4 sacks so that shows what you know Chow and Marlin Jackson is one of the reason the Colts D is so much better.

M. Jackson stats 39 Tackles and 1 int.

C. Rodgers stats 15 Tackles and 1 int.

so who is playing better?

are you slow? lol

Erasmus James had 4 sacks in 05

in 06 and 07 he has a whopping 2 tackles and has been active for just 1 game this season and didn't even play.

Carlos Rogers has been good in coverage and is solid against the run.

just because marlin jackson has more tackles doesnt mean he's better.

and it's actually a fact the best defenses in the NFL have fewer tackles cause they get off the field in 3 downs.
