cozmikbuffalo
Chris Wilson finally got some significant playing time and was productive recording a tackle and constantly collapsing Kitnas protection. Does anyone else think that he should at least get more playing time during 3rd down situations??
abu69
i like him in his role as a pass rush specialist. don't know if he is really good enough to be a reliable run-stuffer in the early down rotation.
jrockster21
Oh crap, that's who #95 was!! I keep looking for #77. Yeah, he had a great game in terms of generating pressure...hopefully he earned some more playing time. I think Golston was inactive to make room for him and Alexander, who are better pass rushers. It might happen again this week, against another one-dimensional team. SkinsNoles21
I think if you combine Wilsons speed rushing ability with Daniels' run stopping ability and youve got one solid defensive end! I cant hate on Daniels though, it seems like he plays well when the team around him is playing well and when the defense struggles he dissapears. He is a solid role player. Wilson can be too. redman
With Daniels' separated shoulder, Wilson may have a greater role regardless.
BLEED-B&G
I think his playing time will be determined by what team we are facing.....considering macklin was inactive yesterday and how the injuries at WR play out we may need those spots for WRs and if the team we are playing has a considerably stronger running game we may need DL who are stronger against the Run (insert Kedric Golston, however he would take Lorenzen Alexander's spot). However it plays out it speaks well of our depth at D-Line I only hope one of these young D-Lineman can step in and have the every down impact a Phillip Daniels has when his time comes to an end. TheGift
Well...Detroit doesn't exactly have the best O-Line, so I'll reserve judgement.
cozmikbuffalo
You make a good point about using him in tandem with Daniels. That would be a potent combo. He seems to have a very nice first step though with power. With him being so young I bet he can develope nicely into a Charles Mann type of DE. BALLz
Seeing how Golston and Montgomery beefed up in the off-season has me anxious to see what will come of Chris Wilson if he gets an entire off-season to work out with the team. He's already doing pretty good but if we can add about 20lbs to his frame he has a lot of potential.

Agreed. His speed could cause problems for some tackles. He should mainly be used as a pass rusher on 3rd down until he develops into an every day DE which he has the potential to do some day.
