Larry Brown #43
From today's Washington Post... Defensive back Kato Serwanga not only had two key plays, recovering a fumble and causing a fumble, for the Giants on Sunday. Serwanga, who was signed by the Giants after being released by the Redskins off the injured reserve list, also stopped by Redskins Park on Monday to pick up an old paycheck.
Mad Mike
Too funny. I almost clipped the same paragraph and posted it under the same title. I'm sure it's a story Kato will be telling for years.
PCS
Well, at least they didn't hold the paycheck as a result of Sunday.
Chief skin
Letting him go was just 1 more mistake the management of this organization made. He is probably glad he is out of this Barnum and Bailey circus
TD_washingtonredskins
The impression I got was that they had no choice but to let Kato go. Once a player is on IR, he must pass thru waivers to become active again. The Giants have had injuries to their DBs this year and needed him. It's not as if he was just booted onto the street once he was healthy.

If we had worked out an injury settlement with Santana Dotson we never would have had to release Kato in the first place. Kato should have been kept on IR and offered a minimal contract for 2003. Now the Giants will probably resign him. Our front office deserves this type of embarrassment until they get their $hit together.
