Theres a big difference in saying 'Joe Gibbs is an incredible human being' (something I'd agree with) and giving him an absolute pass in his 2nd coaching go round.I hope he can and will return the Redskins to glory. But he's been average since his return (my opinion). Greetings, Tarhog, I also agree that Joe Gibbs (and Co.) results have not been what I expected since his return...BUT, my post was directed at the notion that his place in the HOF should be revisited. His first year back, we sucked! His second year back, he took us to the second round of the playoffs (further than the NFC Champs who got blown out in the first round!) and his third was his worst...ever! Plagued by injuries, and all the other crap we all know too well. My bottom line is this, does two bad years out of how many great ones=HOF impeachment? I think not! I am passionate about my team, and just as critical of mistakes, dumb fron office moves, overpaying for FA's, etc... But at the end of the day, I BELIEVE in MY team, and believe in Gibbs (and the security of his enshrinement!) Another poster said it best and I paraphrase... Micheal Jordan didn't win a championship when he came back, nor was he as good as he was the first time around, so should we have taken away his rings, scoring titles, MVP honors...etc?
