OWUeagleMD
For shame, Denver. I think he's a good acquisition, but 10 mill seems pretty exorbitant for a career backup without impressive numbers, at a position where you already have a promising rookie. Hooper
Good Lord. It is a very good year to be a free agent. Expect a lot of holdouts from star players who can't believe the money simply decent players are getting.

Siven
Another player getting 10 million guaranteed. Thanks to the Redskins spending spree of '06. Redskins' basically ruin it for everyone else in the league. seriously, cooley is gonna ask for a lot, he deserves it definately. but fat contracts being award to career backups, means cooley is gonna get paid. OWUeagleMD
Course no other team will get burned in the media for this as this is what the market is this year...yada yada yada I actually think, as always, when teams over pay they will be held to the coals by the media. The Redskins aren't the only team that receives bad press; you just happen to react to their bad press because they are your favorite team. If Graham is worth 10 mill guranteed than Cooley is worth 15-17, easily.
twenty-eight
POSTED 2:24 p.m. EST, March 2, 2007 REPORTS OF GRAHAM DEAL NOT TRUE John Crowe of WSKO radio tells us that he has spoken to Jack Mills, the agent for tight end Daniel Graham, and that Mills says that no deal has been reached between the Broncos and Graham. Mills will appear on WSKO at 3:30 p.m. EST to address the situation. The spot can be heard right here. And, on further review of our e-mailbox, we discovered a message from agent Tom Mills, who writes of Graham: "He has not agreed to terms with Denver or anyone. Don't know where that rumor started, but it's completely inaccurate. Dan will visit with the Broncos later today, but we haven't discussed contract and Dan is planning to take a trip to Oakland tomorrow and Seattle after that."
