NBC Sports Have we seen the 2006 Titans before? Yes, in 1981. In Washington. Joe Gibbs’ first team and its modern-day clone both started 0 and 5. They were laughingstocks. Unfortunately, I wasn't into the NFL, let alone the Redskins, back then (I think I became a huge fan the following year), but can anyone confirm the similarities? The next snippets on that page are ones that make you go 'hmmm', whilst the last is just piss funny, and hopefully will come true sooner rather than later. Burgold Posted December 21, 2006 Share Posted December 21, 2006 Other than the 0-5 resurgance, I don't think it's probably all that similar. Their resurgance came with a vet coach and a rookie qb. We had a vet qb and a rook head coach. It also came when Gibbs decided to build through the running game versus the passing. A problem he keeps butting heads with in his second tenure.
