Monte51Coleman
I come up twice a year, stay in D.C., Alexandria, or Arlington. I do all of the tourist things that there are to do and never rent a car. The Metro takes me everywhere I want to go.
dreamingwolf
it is possible to navigate the city by way of cab and metro if thats what your asking, it really depends on what you want to do and how much transportation freedom you want. PleaseBlitz
You could use the metro for all of that.
Mickalino
Go with a car rental, because if you're going to the Falcon game, then you'll be there for a weekend, and you can get awesome weekend rates at most car rental companies. To me the freedom, independence, and ability to make direct routes with a car, as opposed to 'roundabout routes on metro' make the car worth the little extra money. So rent a car and attach your airline Frequent Flier number to the reservation, so you will get free airline miles, and soon your airline ticket will be free. Plus you don't have to worry about getting mugged, like you do, on the metro
