Hey Sarge, what do you think of Karpinski testifying against him?

Serious question with serious interest in your answer.

I think she's a piece of ****

I think if I were her, I'd count my lucky stars and go back to hiding under my rock

I say she's a piece of **** because as a "general" and "leader" you are responsible to know what the **** is going on. If you don't know what the **** is going on, how the hell can you lead?

The answer is, you can't.

Which leads me to my second reason for calling her a piece of ****. She was either a poor "General" or clueless, or both

Then she had the audacity to ***** about her treatment, a reduction in rank, when people under her command were being prosecuted and sent to jail

While I have no love for Rumsfeld, she'd be a good candidate for a fragging

But I guess first that would mean she'd have to be somewhere near the action, and that never was nor never will be the case

I guess they wouldn't think of prosecuting the people that blow **** up and cut off heads

Hey Destino, are these the "Friends" overseas that you were talking about? You know, the ones who's love and respect we've lost:rolleyes:

Yes those are the friends I was talking about. Amazing how that friendship sours when relationships are allowed to fall apart isn't it?

No, this is case in point of what I'm talking about. We are the last bastion in the world that has any nuts. The Euro's, ever since they quit being threaten by the Soviets, have bent over and taken socialism up the ass. England has ****ed itself with it's liberal immigration laws, as well as France. France has an intifada going on in the Frnech suburbs that no one is talking about because it's a direct result of screwed socialist immigration theories. England had their own little nest in insurgents that actually live off English taxpayer support. And they believ we should do the same thing.

The Euro's have their own interests. For the most part, they no longer match up with ours, so I see no reason to continue to have "allies" that half the time or more are on the side of the bad guys

Very disgusting person to say the least.

Hey Sarge, what do you think of Karpinski testifying against him?

Serious question with serious interest in your answer.

I know you asked Sarge, but I'll offer my two cents, as I have some personal knowledge in this area.

Chip Frederick is a good friend of mine. You may recall he was the highest ranking NCO sentenced to prison for his role in the abuse; eight years at Leavenworth.

Now, I'm not saying the guy was totally innocent, and I DO have a vested interest in his case, as a friend. However, having served with him in the 372nd MP Co for eight years, I have to say the guy was a very good, very professional soldier with high attention to detail. Whatsmore, he served nearly 20 years as a correctional officer in Virginia, and was never even accused of using excessive force.

Furthermore, I saw nothing in his character that could've tipped me off that he was capable of something like that. I will never accept that he was the "ring leader" as he's sometimes been accused of. His orders came from higher up. You'll never convince me otherwise.

That being said, Chip is still guilty of obeying an unlawful order if my scenario is true. But that would be a much better position to be in than he finds himself now.

I'm not saying Karpinski is responsible for handing down the orders to abuse detainees; whether officially or unofficially. However, like Sarge said, she is responsible for EVERYTHING that happens under her command. And many of my friends said that while she was in charge of Abu Ghraib, they never saw her.

Then when all of this broke, she sold out her subordinates to save her own ass. IMHO, Ms. Karpinski is the most pathetic excuse for a "leader" in the history of the United States military. She did not execute the duties of her command. Then when everything went to hell because junior, inexperienced soldiers were trying to make things work on their own; she sold them out.

I view her as not only a disgusting excuse for an officer (and a soldier in general), but as a disgusting excuse for a human being.
