If you just look at the score it is easy to say we should have won with a better offense. Even if it was 17-16. If you watched the game (and paid attention), it would be obvious that the D couldn't get off the field. That was the difference. That's an oversimplification. You guys are acting like it's unprecedented for us to come back with 5 minutes left and down by 2 scores. Sound familiar? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The defense couldn't get our offense back on the field.... Sure should have. This defense is horrible now. No sacks. No turn overs. Nd WAY to many big plays. The Offense never opened up, and it seems like G.W. isn't consistent with the pressure all 4 downs all 4 qtr. like he has been in the past 2 years. Could care less about the Springs not in excuse, when we brought the pressure vs. Jax it looked better then that mess I watched yesterday. BleedBNG Posted October 10, 2006 Share Posted October 10, 2006 Um...I guess some are forgetting that we scored 3 freakin points yesterday. Thank you. And the score by halftime was 9-3. They were doing OK in stopping the G's from any TD's by then. The G's could afford to take chances in the second half for big plays because they were shutting down our running game. That was the formula. Why worry about MB and any passing attack if he can't operate it without any running game, which was completely opposite in the Texans and Jags game. A TD score after the half and they knew MB would never catch up. There's nothing to fear about MB on the passing game ALONE. If he can't do it early they know he won't the rest of the game. Oxtalls Posted October 10, 2006 Share Posted October 10, 2006 cmon now.....the defense continued a pattern of bad play from the Jax game. regardless of win/loss...the D is getting consistently torched through the air; the tackling is bad; the pass rush....blah blah blah..... Gregg Williams' defense has carried this entire franchise since the day he's arrived. Not for nothin' but if they're down right now - they've earned a little pass.
