This doesn't sound like a team that's addressed its offensive line very well...

How many draft picks have been squandered over the last 5 years? How much money has been spent on free agents? And you're still scrambling?

Maybe you should worry about your own before you come over here razzing Skins fans about their depth?

Scout swap: It will be interesting to see what comes out of the scouting swap going on between the Patriots and the Cowboys. Patriots vice president Scott Pioli is in Oxnard, Ca., presumably looking at the Cowboys wealth at linebacker. The Cowboys sent a scout to the Patriots camp. They are looking for wide receiver and tackle help. The Patriots are too thin at wide receiver to help them, but they do have some excess along the offensive line. Such an arrangement is rare. Pioli is Bill Parcells' son-in-law so you can see where he can be trusted. Normally, teams don't like having scouts from other teams in their camp.

Yeah our line is so bad that they gave up 0 sacks in the first preseason game. FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD TEAM gave up 0 sacks

I know its only preseason, but when will you people learn. Parcells is a big ole worry wart so he is always trying to add to something, always churning the bottom of the roster.

Rogers busted because of injury.

Johnson is battling with another high pick for a starting spot.

Rivera has had a fine preseason thus far.

Jury is out on Kosier.

And Petitti was a 7th rounder. Cant really say that pick was "squandered".

So far, performance wise in the Parcells era, only Peterman can really be considered a bust. But even he tore his ACL which set him back a great deal from the start.

Perhaps if he churned the top of the roster a bit better your Boys wouldn't be in this situation...

"To everything - churn, churn, churn

There is a season - churn, churn, churn

And a time for every team to find lineman

A time to gain, a time to lose (14-13)

A time to rend, a time to lose (37-7)

A time to practice, unless your T.O.

A time to draft, oh wait it's much too late..."

I never used the word bust.

9 picks on the Oline in drafts 01-05 - more than any other during that time. 4 on the first day. How many of those first day picks will start? uno. That's disappointing stuff. Perhaps if those picks were better spent you wouldn't have to go buy 2 guards?

Rogers didn't show anything before he was injured. And even his injury was controversial as far as how serious it was. Parcells was disgusted with Rogers lack of toughness was he not? Does he become disgusted with all his injured players or just those he thinks are milking it? We're not talking about misfortune here. We're talking about a player who Jerry called "one of his biggest busts." Now would a "player's" owner say that about a guy who could play but just had some bad luck?

You can blame Jerry all you like but Tuna has had more than ample time to get things straightened out. And now here we are scouting the Patriots.

So one 2nd round bust means?

Not too many high picks wasted.

Mid round picks, sure.

But I wouldnt say that those picks have crippled the team's development.

Rivera was signed because the player who was drafted to play his position (Peterman)tore his ACL and has yet to fully recover.

Zosier was signed because we CUT Allen. A player who youve said is probably the most overrated player in the game.

While picks havent panned out completely, I think you overemphasize the effects its had on the team.

As for the scout swap, you see a problem with that?

You dont think its actually quite smart to do such a thing?

No, let's.

You mean the pick we traded for Portis who has 2900 rushing yards in 2 seasons while Denver is STILL looking for a starting RB? You mean the pick we gave up for Brunell who led us to a playoff win - something Bledsoe hasn't experienced in about 8 or 9 years? You mean the pick we used to trade up to draft Cooley who has caught as many TDs in 2 years as Witten has in 3? Or the picks we used to trade up for Campbell who will be starting next year and into the future? We also have some picks invested in players who have yet to star for us (McIntosh and Lloyd) but will be playing for deep LB and WR corps.

Are these the picks you mean?

To be fair, you got to the playoffs and won because of your defense.

A more accurate statement would be you won a playoff game in spite of Brunell.

As for trading picks for Campbell, while you would assume he would be starting next season, and into the future, thats all speculation. No one has any clue what he will become. So its not fair to factor that in right now.

Same goes for McIntosh and Lloyd.

You also threw in a player named Champ Bailey in that trade for Portis. ;)

Funny how u tried to spin it positive for you, but everyone else see's it as

Giving up a high pick for an old QB that would have came to you anyway.

Giving up a Champ Bailey and a pick for Portis.

Giving up 2 picks for Lloyd

Giving up picks and jumping up to get McIntosh in the second round. Hopefully he starts this year or next year, if not would that be qualified as a bust.

Giving up picks to move up to get Campbell who has yet to show anything.

Giving up low round picks for Bowen, Thrash and others

Drafting Ramsey and he is gone

Giving up a first round for Brad Johnson

All that mismanagement of draft picks and we still beat you twice last year. Go figure.

All I've talked about is the resources committed to your Oline that is apparently still a question mark. A lot of picks and a lot of money. Has it had some kind of ripple effect on the rest of your team? Maybe not. But again, it's resources: picks and money. And now you may have to deal from a position of depth (LB) and weaken that position.

As for the scout swap, you see a problem with that?

You dont think its actually quite smart to do such a thing?

I didn't say I had a problem with it. I just said matter of factly that it's where you are right now.

And the running game. Even if Brunell didn't necessarily become the Peyton Manning of the NFC, he still tossed 3000 yards and 23 TDs while being injured on a cheap shot. He's more or less a game manager who will do his best to take care of the football. That's no small feat in today's nfl where it's all about forcing the issue on defense.

As for trading picks for Campbell, while you would assume he would be starting next season, and into the future, thats all speculation. No one has any clue what he will become. So its not fair to factor that in right now.

Can't call em succcesses but you can't call them squandered picks either. We shall see.
