SkinsNatsFan Posted June 27, 2006 Share Posted June 27, 2006 I feel like a kid today! I was playing around on the Virginia Dept of Transportation web site about a week and a half ago. I tried a few variations for personalized plates and happened to find one right away that was available. I could not pass it up. I've always avoided paying extra money for this kind of thing but once I saw it I had to get it. The site said to expect it to take four to six weeks to get. If that's normally true, someone at the DMV wanted to see this out on the street sooner rather than later. I got them today. Thank you whoever you are! A good friend of mine mentioned something I hadn't thought of. If I ever have the opportunity to see Peter King in front of me, I can tatoo this right on his backside! SkinsNatsFan Posted June 27, 2006 Author Share Posted June 27, 2006 My renewal is in March. They prorated the payment so I only paid the additional amount for the nine remaining months. The other $10 goes to the DMV to help run the state agency. DMV is one of three state agencies that generate money to pay for the operation of their business (small %) and the excess funds (large %) goes to pay for building and maintaining the roads.
