the burgundy and gold
i'm not sure if this should be in the tailgate or the stadium but anyways, i just entered a fantasy football league and i cant think of a good team name. So i need some help from the Extremeskin crew. What is the best fantasy football team name that you've ever seen/used??

swaroopm
You should just use your extremeskins moniker, "the burgundy and gold." How can you go wrong with that? SoutheastJeromeLives is a great one too. Or, you could always do some variation on Redskins that also involves you somehow - for example, "Alexandria Redskins." One of my friends from Virginia sometimes uses "Sterling (VA) Sharpe," which is clever. Other ones I've liked are "Beltway Blitzers" and "Van Gogh's Ear." This is not a fantasy football team, but one of the teams in my soccer rec league is called Manchester Divided - I found that amusing.
Kosher Ham
Projected Top ten in no particular order (as of now, IMO): LaDainian Tomlinson Clinton Portis Peyton Manning Larry Johnson Terrell Owens Shaun Alexander Steve Smith Santana Moss Larry Fitzgerald Willie Parker Possibly Chad Johnson, Tiki Barber, or Carson Palmer stealing a spot (if healthy). Kosher Ham
And back to the topic. Any name will do. If you want Redskins related, you can include them either directly or indirectly.

Kosher Ham
Top 10...LaDainian Tomlinson Larry Johnson Shaun Alexander Clinton Portis Tiki Barber --------drop off---------- Steven Jackson Lamont Jordan Ronnie Brown Rudi Johnson Cadillac Williams Just missed: Edgerrin James, Peyton Manning, Steve Smith Not 1 QB in the top 10 ? That seems unlikely.
FunBunch7
Not 1 QB in the top 10 ? That seems unlikely. That would depend on the scoring system. Peyton is the only QB who should be considered in the top 10 anyways. LT...sure thing Alexander...sure thing Larry Johnson...could be the top guy but he still hasn't played a whole season. Portis...spread out offense could have him putting up better than his Denver #s drop off Tiki...the miles HAVE GOT TO BE catching up on him...good for us! Edge...will produce but there are an aweful lot of receivers in AZ and they WILL still be playing catchup alot of the time. Cadilac...sophmore slump? Possibly, but still solid. I think in most leagues my top 4 will be in the top 5 with Peyton sneaking in there. The 1st round isn't where leagues are won anyways...it's the middle round steals...receivers you get cheap that put up 1200 yds and 10 TDs...#3 running backs that get you 1000 yds and 8 TDs. Any of you that have won a Title know aht I'm talking about.
Kosher Ham
Manning has an intact OL and gained a RB that may not be as complete, but certainly has proven he can handle the load at times. Edge has some good WRs around in past years too. Portis and Edge are in the same boat right now. Some viable options at WR and being a top half back. The reason I pick someone like Parker is because of the type of offense that Pittsburgh employs. Run, Run, and run some more.
