Clayton reported a couple things. One he thinks we are close to signing Carter and will then drop out of the abraham trade talks. Also he thinks ramsey will be delt by tomm. Finally he said he thinks lavar will be a giant, but money could be the one thing stopping that.

something is really starting to sound fishy about these carter-is-a-skin reports...

i mean im not saying its not so, but if it comes down to ESPN v. NFL network, im trusting espn. and for clayton to say just 10 minutes ago that carter is "close" to signing has me wondering.

Actually... as long as Clayton (who looks like he is being goosed all the time) isn't being fed crap by agents or management is usually spot on in his reports... if an agent calls him and brags about something that then turns out to be a lie... blame the misinformer... not Clayton

They both are saying the same thing.

NFL Network "in the process" = ESPN "close to signing"

exactly... if its "in the process" then why are we saying hes ours officially? what are these 6yr 30 mil reports about??

Says the following:

- Ramsey will be traded in 24 hours, Jets are most interested. Jets dont want to give up a 4th round pick for him though for him...

- also said they're working out deal with Carter, Abraham going to Denver

not good news for what they think of his value...

That's asinine...why do they even want the guy if they clearly think so little of him?

They'd be just as well off to use their fourth round pick on a QB by that logic.

Sounds like they are deliberately lowballing, probably still bitter about Moss.

Isn't there anyone else we can play with?
