visionary
"Colts | Wayne agrees to $40M deal Wed, 22 Feb 2006 12:30:29 -0800 Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Indianapolis Colts and WR Reggie Wayne have agreed to terms on a six-year deal worth nearly $40 million. The deal also includes $13.5 million in bonus money." http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl (yikes, I must be going blind. I missed the thread in the other section entirely.) bofluid
This is good news for a couple of reasons. One, he stays away from the NFC teams he was rumored to head to, which prevents him from becoming a thorn in the Redskins side. Two, it should retard the amount of endless threads clamoring for the Redskins to acquire him.
jrockster21
I belive the Colts are already well over the salary cap...it will be interesting to see how they compensate for this huge contract. Could this be the end of the Dwight Freeney era in Indy??? (I don't think Dungy would be that stupid, but you never know...)
Shotgunner
Man, that is sick money for a receiver. Indy must really need him alongside Harrison.
Gamebreaker
I don't think he's worth all of that money.
