Zen-like Todd
Jansen is talking about the Bucs playoff game in his rookie year, hopefully being better prepared for it this time around, lack of homefield advantage, the assumption back then that he would routinely be in the playoffs. Says its sweeter now. Talking about the game earlier this season, he says forget the 2 point conversion, he feels like the Skins should have been able to crank out some first downs and hold onto the ball to finish out the game. Talking about signing his second contract because he thought the organization would get on the right track, wanted to stick it out, glad he's here, etc. Right now we're in a one game season, unlike a lot of teams our team has had its back against the wall for five games, thinks its an advantage, especially having the last game on the road. More reminiscing about the 1999 playoff game against the Bucs. Commenting on the Tampa D. Most of the same coaches and players for several years, and those that are gone have been replaced by similar players (Sapp --> McFarland), they have a system that works. Well coached, excellent football players. Competitive team, force every year. Talking about Gibbs' record in the playoffs, and whether it buys the team confidence... He says he doesnt know about that, he says they know HE knows what he's doing, but that the team has to prove to him that they know what they are doing. Talking about Gibbs' coaching consistency, sense of team unity, core unit of guys, something they can count on. Most important factor in the turnaround is consistent play... the D has been consistent for two years, they had to find something to make them a consistent offense and the running game has provided that, along with the ability to find Santana downfield. Talking about mentoring the younger guys who havent been in the playoffs, expressing to them what it means... its an exciting time, and you need to take hold of it and produce because you dont know when the opportunity will come again. Someone asked him about the bad snap/hold on the field goal.... lame question. He basically gave the same answer he gave for earlier in the year, about not letting it come down to the last play. Someone had the gall to ask about Dan Turk (who passed away), and Jansen said he'd rather not talk about him. Comparing Brad Johnson to Brunell, says they both take a leadership position on the field. Someone asked him about Clinton's alter egos... says he cant count them, the only one he cares about is the one that's been showing up on the field on Sundays and taking care of business. number twenty-eight
Jansen is a great ambassador for the team. Very respectful towards Dan Turk.
number twenty-eight
Brunell says his knee is fine and there are no problems. Sellers up now.
kevinklein
Reporters need to stop bringing attention to 1999.
number twenty-eight
Sellers mentioned Gibbs doesn't give pre-game speeches. He expects professionalism and the players to be ready to go. Talked about the locker room being largely unchanged this week. There's a buzz, but they're confident and ready. Mentioned the strength of schedule and how we are battle tested and ready. Wynn is next.
darrell1106
Pardon if this is a dumb question, but is the Redskins a little partial to the Washington Times? I wonder how the post feels about that.
number twenty-eight
Wynn received some kind of media "Good Guy" award for being easy to work with. Calls Lemar Marshall "the silent assassin" because he isn't as animated on the field as the other linebackers. Again, talks about confidence and preparation, particularly with regards to Gregg Williams and filmwork. Says they're ready to roll. Regarding week 10: "shame on us" for allowing the 36 points, says it never should have happened and defense let the offense down. Looks like that's it for the session. darrell1106
He plays sort of erratic but I like Wynn. He also represents the Redskins very well.

number twenty-eight
Marcus says Redskins have to be one of the hardest working teams in the NFL after talking about Gibbs' own ethic. His session cut short due to a team meeting. I think that's it.
Jumbo
Im not doing Brunell, I'm all typed out. Thanks Zen=master, I only caught Wynn & Marcus. Appreciate the Jansen report, seems like no-nonsense Jon may not be a big follower of the silly side of our team
