Portis the Tortoise
I remember reading earlier in the season that Sean would play corberback if we were in a bind. Do you guys think this might be the week? I'm not convinced that Rogers, Jimoh and the new guy can get it done. Having said that, I'm confident that Prioleau, Clark and Bowen could hold down the safety position. Thoughts?
JuiceMan_74
nah i hope not, as long as we dont have walt harris out there by himself like last game im happy. i think we beat the buccs if sean plays in that game
Thrilla4
im confident that taylor can play anywhere...as for this being the week...im gonna say no
nexxrev
I rather see him on offense.
TD_washingtonredskins
I'd almost prefer to see Prioleau or Clark play corner than ST...but that's just me.
GhostRider
ST could play corner but I'd much prefer him laying the wood at safety.
StepyagameuP
Hmmm....If we were to do that it would be a new formation that we have not used all season that could turn out to sting us. I like the thought, but to test that theory in a playoff game is just a long shot. I say go with Rodgers, Jimoh, Patterson and Morton in that order. Sean Taylor needs to roam the secondary and help with run support, so I think the best positioning would be for him to stay back there. But your right, we are exposed at the CB position which means pass rush needs to step it up and help fill in that CB gap by applying QB pressure early and quick. Portis the Tortoise
Who would get matched up on Galloway...Rogers or Harris? Either way, I'm sure he'll get quite a bit of safety help. Thank goodness TB doesn't have a very good compliment to Galloway.
SkinFan63
I wouldn't stir the kettle too much. Current receipe is working just fine. Hail! :point2sky :helmet:
adarsh1
Rogers...he has the speed to match up with Joey.
MustangSteve
No because I think he will need to help out Harris too much, dayum it.
BleedB&G4life
 That would only take away half of the field whereas now He takes away both sides and the middle.
CLBinMD
When he takes a proper angle, ST's size & speed from the safety spot can cover a "multitude of sins" all over the field. BUT.....I do think there's needs to be a "Plan B" for the CB position throughout the playoffs given that we are so thin at the postition. I'd like to see Clark & Stoutmire get some work in at the corners. Keep the newer guys & guys with bad wheels (Bowen) in their more natural positions. When the package dicates how many "cover" CBs (remember, a lot of the blitz packages involve DBs) are on the field, my preference would be: Springs (if he can go) C. Rogers (ditto) Clark Harris Stoutmire Mortenson Jimoh (the guys got guts to spare & is a special teams beast but his cover tech is shakey - at best. I'd prefer to see him blitzing or playing safety in the multiple DB packages) Cheers, CLBinMD

ROGERS no D and no taylor will not play cb that would be retarded. He puts fear in peoples hearts playing where he does. C RoGers needs to step up and play very well. Hopefully we can keep our D off the field better than we did vs. the eagulls.
TheShredder
No...Taylor can play it though. Harris and Rogers...Rogers gets Galloway and S.T. will be blitzing like crazy!!!
EnFoRcEr_uPu
How are you not confident that Rogers can get it done as a CB?
santanamoss89
He definently can play CB, but Jimoh and Springs are probable and Rogers is questionable, I doubt we will need ST as a CB.
meetST
sure he can play cb but i don't think he'll be put there this week....plus i like him better roaming the field FREE.....hehehehehe....that way he can hit anyone he wants instead of being stuck on one person........plus as long as he's back there to back up harris or whoever that plays cb...i feel muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch better

Carlito Sway
I'm torn. #21 can hustle, runs down RBs from way behind all the time, has a huge frame to block WRs out of the play, etc. I don't like the idea of changing the gameplan at this point, but I'd rather have another player cover safety than Morton at CB covering Galloway. Rather give up an extra two or three against a run with a different safety than sixty plus on a bomb a backup CB bit on . . . Desperate times call for desperate measures. Another week and who knows, amybe we can get Springs back.

rockANDallstar
Taylor can play any Defensive Back position that he is needed, so I think that by gametime, if we need him to go in at CB we definately could. I hope they have him practice at CB a little during the week so that IF he is needed there, he can go on in and play fine.
Q-skin
I know this beast can control cb position, but I perfer him to be the clean up man because he is nasty!!!!!!
jivelikenice
Keep Sean at safety and allow him to help out Ade, Walt, and Carlos..... As long as Carlos and Ade can play, I don't think its as bad as a situation as it looked the other day. Hopefully this means less blitzing which has been killing us lately.....
