I was there (At the Linc/Portis' mom/playoff celebration

I just wanted to chime in that myself and four other redskins rolled up into the linc today.

They were several thousand skins fans ( I was in lower bowl in section next to CP's mom/ corner endzone next to tunnel where skins came out ) We represented loud and proud all game not taking any Philly garbage (the skins fans were talking smack). Had another crew in the opposite endzone.

The Linc isn't any more hostile than Fed Ex ( I would venture to say the eagles/skins game at FedEx is more hostile). You have trash talking, a few drunks getting fired up, but nothing more than a very passionate football crowd. Security responds fairly quickly to anything getting out of control.

Cheering Portis' injury was just plain classless, with several people stating I hope he is dead/ hope his leg is broken.

From what I saw with Portis' mom, they (eagle fans) were throwing stuff at her when they figured out who she was. They were also verbally berating her, which if kept in classy terms is ok (it is a football game). Security/police responded quickly and it seemed at first she didn't want to leave but the crowd was chanting, so she left under police escort. But Momma Portis wasn't taking no crap ( she was talking smack the whole way up) At the end of the game when we noticed she was on the sideline the SEVERAL THOUSAND skins fans were chanting "MRS. PORTIS"

The exodus was phenom by eagles fans out of their own stadium. After the Taylor touchdown, the exodus happened under the chant of the skins fans of nah nah hey hey good bye, "Lets go Redskins" and singing "Hail to the Redskins"

A very large contingent of skins fans gathered in the corner where the players/coaches were leaving the field and showed them we were representing loud and proud (singing Hail to the Redskins). A couple of players threw some equipment into the crowd. Gibbs stopped before heading in and you couldn't hear what he was saying but you can tell when someone is saying "Thank You" (lips)

The parking lot was great afterwards, skins fans with radios blaring "Hail to the Redskins" and fan after fan hugging, taking pictures, having a celebratory drink.........and many of us saying..........Are we in Philly?

Thank you Joe Gibbs

Man, if i was in the crowd at fed ex and D. McNabb's mother was sittin in front of me I can't say that i would condone the actions that the fans took in philly with portis's mother. There is passion for your team and then there's just being an A-hole and making yourself and your team look bad.

Don't believe me.....it was announced on National Television that Clintons mother was escorted out of the stands to the sidelines because she was being abused by the fans in the stands.

I'm sure we aren't any better in fed ex but you have to draw a line somewhere. Lord knows there are a ton of lines drawn in Philly....

"Ok boys, the line is drawn right here. We need to go out there and win one for the fans. Who's with me?"

Repeat...

I got to say, I do not see anything totally wrong with a little heckeling and joking around......

At the Skins Giants Game there were some Giants fans sitting right behind me, was joking around with them the whole game, Giants would make a play they would laugh in my face.....skins would make a play I would do the same......I would tell them how terrible Tiki is......and so forth......but it was all in good fun......I even had a bet with the giants fan on my left who said the Giants would be up by half-time......needless to say I won, and he bought me a beer......

I do not condone heckeling, but so long as it is is good fun and the words do not turn violent and foul......

You just gotta be a man take it just as well as you put it out......show some class with the good and with the bad......

Its only a game......it is hard to remember that sometimes

The only other place I can say that is as bad as Philly, is WVU. I went with my father-in-law this year when VT killed them (I'm a Hokies fan); I had plenty of sh!t thrown at me and upon leaving the bathroom a drunk WVU fan followed me, calling me faggot the entire looooooong walk back to my seat.

I can take the name calling and verbal abuse. I completely understand it and accept it as a VT fan walking into WVU (of course we won't see them for a VERY VERY long time), but to throw sh!t at people? It's ridiculous, childless and most of the individuals who were doing it were not students; They were older fans. SAD!

I was in 200 level with 2 children sitting around me,both about 9 or 10.Apparently I was the only one who noticed them.Objects being thrown at me,cursing ,being vulgar with no awareness that children were present.Philadelphia is home of the worlds biggest scumbags,Im ashamed to live so close.

Im a Yankees fan and went to Clemens first game against boston. My friend is a sucks fan and had his hat,jacket...etc.There was a LOT of talk both ways(I threw my friend under the bus and jeered him too...lol) but it never got to the point like with CP'S mom.Cheering, teasing, trash talk is expected(My friend knew what he was in for) but when it gets to the point where things get thrown, especally at someones mom,is classless and crap.I think it only pissed Portis off and fired him up.I was just wondering how the bucks fans are??

Enough condoning the sick behaviour of the skins fans. Berating a players mother is NOT appropriate behavior in ANY circumstance.

Phily fans are scum.

Remember when Tampa played them in Phily, right after Jureviscious(couldnt spell it if I tried) son died? They were chanting "Wheres your son?".

Bunch of perverted sickos.

Yeah, because Skins fans NEVER act up at a game.

Skins fan behavior

We sure as hell don't cheer injuries. Last week when Chase Blackburn of the Giants was wheeled off the field everybody was quiet until he gave the thumbs up. Everybody cheered and wished him well.

This is the 2nd thread you have tried to defend Eagle fan behavior with that link. Give it up, you are pathetic.

Do you relize that Donavon Mcnabb dosnt let his family sit in those stands becuase of you?the fans? He dosnt even feel safe letting his own family sit with his teams fans thats how annoying/immature/violent/rude you eagles fans are. Dont try to do somthing like "look how violent skins fans are".
