slinky
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2265650 By Len Pasquarelli ESPN.com Five-year veteran wide receiver Rod Gardner, released by the Carolina Panthers last Friday, has been claimed on waivers by the Green Bay Packers and will report to the team on Tuesday morning, ESPN.com has confirmed. The move is a bit surprising, coming with only two games remaining in the season, but the Packers have been beset all season by injuries to the wide receiver corps and will now get to audition Gardner for two weeks at a very reasonable price. The Packers will pay Gardner a prorated share of his $1 million salary for 2005, or just $117,647. Once again, PLEASE see Rule #10.

FBChick
You weren't gonna get much for him. We barely got the low round draft pick and then he stunk it up so bad.. you're never gonna get anything for him!
Cskin
It's an indication of solid talent / attitude evaluation. He's not a winner.... and the Redskin organization cut their losses. Kudos... I remember the mediots talking up the "Gardner to Carolina" as a great trade for the Panthers because Gardner possessed 1st round talent... and that it was a mistake by the Redskins to give up on him. Uh...huh... Rriiiiggghhhhtttt!!!

jrfriedm
they are trying to push Farve out the door? Surronding him with this kind of talent will do just that.
Redskins4ever
Rod Gardner is reaching a very critical point in his career. I'm very surprised Marty Schottenheimer didn't claim him, seeing as though he drafted Gardner. I wish Rod Gardner the best.
