Darth Tater
Since about the 3rd quarter of the Seatle game, good, crisp tackling has been the exception rather than the rule for our defense. Last night, crisp tackling became the rule with some exceptions again. Will this continue? If it does, no one can beat us.
GOSKN5
I totally agree with you.... I posted about this earlier on a thread..... I think the tackling has been huge.... they are not missing tackles anymore and when they do miss a little the pursuit is better so there is someone else there to wrap it up.... it has made a huge huge difference.... anytime you can keep someone from gaining even 3 extra yards or something it makes such a difference.... bulldog
the Redskins have outstanding speed and quickness in the back seven and that has paid some definite dividends for us. the linebackers are all quick and can run. the safeties have above average speed. the corners when healthy are right there with the receivers. OVCChairman
not only has it been good tackling, but if you notice, there is someone RIGHT there, yeah there were some AWESOME solo tackles last night, but there also was a lot of swarming
portis&taylor
I think are overall D has improved. I think the loss of Pierce hurt us for awhile because Marshall hadnt played middle lineback and had to get used to tell the others what to do. Leonard Washington
there were alot of guys around the ball. a few times the guy would break the first tackle and 2 other guys would be ready to clean it up. that's how u supposed to play football. you can't expect a player to make 1:1 tackles all day long. even guys like portis says this...you can block 7 guys and i'll beat #8. aussieskin
When Rivera was injured did anyone notice that the blocker was a redskin about a foot shorter and 100 pounds lighter...the skins are doing things for each other and that is a big difference this year....GO SKINS
