Sean Taylor Caused Fumble by Kicking LT

I searched for this, to see if anybody else picked it up. And after scanning I couldn't find anything. Sorry if I'm only stating the obvious. But Sean Taylor's forced fumble on LT wasn't caused by the fullback hitting Tomlinson's arm, as so many have said. If you watch Skinsfanatic's videos, you'll see that ST's right leg gets swung around violently after he makes the initial hit. His foot basically windmill kicks LT right where the ball is. (Too bad it was the foot ball). Consiquently, the ball shoots out and dies in the grass right in front of LT. Happy Birthday. :(

Please merge if I'm beating a dead horse, spare my ignorance.

He wasnt trying to tackle LT on that play, he was trying to take out the fullback, which he not only did but hit him hard enough to go into LT that caused the fumble.

There was no problem at all how he took on that play or his tackling technique

Yeah, well, I took that part out. Save that debate for another time. But again, if he didn't luckily kick LT where the ball was it would have been a 6 yard gain. He didn't hit the fullback anywhere near LT, his leg swung around and cracked him.

Then you are arguing or bringing up something thats not even there. He was not trying to tackle LT, he was just trying to take on ON PURPOSE the lead block of the fullback.

if he gained 6 yards out of it, it would be because other defensive players did not pursue it fast enough.

Maybe the reason huge runs have been busted on us is because our safeties are taking out lead blockers? Trying to make plays because others can't? Safties are called SAFTY-S for a reason. So that sh*t doesn't happen. I really didn't want to get in a debate here. So yeah.

If you look at the video, Neal is directly between Sean Taylor and LT. So yeah, Taylor takes out Neal on the play. If he tries to go around Neal to get to Tomlinson, LT's gone, with Neal still escorting him. It was a solid, smart football play by Taylor.
