SlobberKnockinFootball
Up until this time both Joe Gibbs and Steve Spurrier have the same record with the Redskins. 11-15. Not very good if you ask me. Come on Joe!! We need to go on a roll here!

SlobberKnockinFootball
You're probably right..but what i'm saying that's a pretty sad stat right now.
SkinsOrlando
Let's all agree to never compare Spurrier to Gibbs. Gibbs a Hall of famer. Spurrier how appropriate he's now a ****.
HailYeah
Ok that stat is being thrown around everywhere this week. So what? Spurrier quit on his players like a dog. Hell, they didnt even care cause he didnt even know over half their names. Gibbs is bringing respect to this organizations even if its not as immediate as kneejerk fans would like. Say we go 8-8 and miss the playoffs this year, it doesn't mean Gibbs will never win and it doesnt mean the Redskins suck. We have to look at this season and take it for what its worth: a step forward.
bubba9497
You're probably right..but what i'm saying that's a pretty sad stat right now. Spurrier went 7-9, and had a fast start in year two, before the team quit
MoeRedskins
Up until this time both Joe Gibbs and Steve Spurrier have the same record with the Redskins. 11-15. Not very good if you ask me. Come on Joe!! We need to go on a roll here! Yeah, but I got a feeling that Joe will have a better record through 30 games then spurrier did. Call it a hunch. herrmag
The stat means nothing. Spurrier went 7-9 his first year, and 5-11 his second year, right? Gibbs went 6-10 in his first year, and I assume we'll be able to win at least 2 more games, so we'll be 7-9 at worst in his second year. I'd rather see the wins GROWING in the second year. Henry
Spurrier inherited an 8-8 team on the rise, went 7-9 the next year and 5-11 a year later. Each year we were decidedly worse than the year before under Spurrier. Gibbs inherited that 5-11 team in total disarray, improved it by a game to 6-10 the next year, and is likely to improve on that win total this year. It may not be spectacular, but (most likely) each year we are better than the year before under Gibbs. Doesn't mean things are all rosey, but I think the Spurrier/Gibbs comparisons are ... not real valid.

SonnyRules
You're probably right..but what i'm saying that's a pretty sad stat right now. That's just a snapshot it time and has no bearing on where this team is going. Let's chat at the end of the season.
SlobberKnockinFootball
It's not a comparing them. I'm just passing on something I heard. Spurrier wouldn't even be aloud to hold Joe Gibbs's jock.

Come on Joe!! We need to go on a roll here!Numbers are numbers. Amazing but true. I whole heartedly agree with you, we need to get on a roll! Coach Gibbs can't have the same record this time around as Steve Spurrier.
