skins84
Explanation just in case anyone missed it... On the postgame show on Comcast Greg Williams explained that the defense audibled and Shawn Springs didn't get the audible. It appears that Springs should have stayed with Reggie Brown in man coverage but instead he just bumped him and let him go across the middle. Not an excuse but it explains why he was so wide open on the play, it was because springs didn't hear the audible and not because someone got beat or because of bad defense. bobzmuda
Thanks for posting that. Looking at the replay you got the idea that somebody wasn't on the same page but you couldn't be sure of who.

Art
Yep. Springs was playing zone and passed the man to the inside when the defense had shifted to man. That's how fine a line it is in the league and why all 11 guys playing as one is so important.
NoCalMike
It makes sense because it wan't like those kinds of plays were being made all night.
TheLongshot
I was wondering what was going on. It was pretty obvious that Springs was playing zone, but I was wondering why the middle of the field was wide open. Figured someone made a mistake.
