Moz Wanted
i was looking at portis's stats for this season and i noticed their is a pattern average 5.8 vs chicago 100+ yards average 3.1 vs cowboys 52 yards bye week average 3.6 vs seattle 90 yards average 5.2 vs denver 100+ yards average 3.7 vs KC 77 yards average 5.3 vs SF 100+ yards so every other game he averages 5. something and 100+ games

carlsbadd
Well for all the talk of how he is a pruduct of Denvers system it is nice to see him with more rushing yards than Tatum Bell. Let's hope he is able to rest up this weak, we need him out there.

Saqs
He needs about 150 yards or so to join the ranks of Dickerson, Campbell, Brown and Terrel Davis to gain 5,000 in his first 50 games. I wonder if the O-line would be motivated by this.

Chris 44
I thought the 49ers game was game 50, and he came up 30 yards or so short. I recall on the post game them mentioning it and even telling Portis in the locker room after the game. I think they said he was 34 yards short. Skins11
It's good that he didn't complain about not getting the extra 34 yards, which could have EASILY been done.
s0crates
A few thoughts about Portis (I posted these in another thread but it got closed before I got any feedback): Portis runs low to the ground, with varying degress of effectiveness. This helps him hit holes harder and makes him hard to tackle, but it also leaves him off balance which causes him to slip. I notice he often goes down before taking a big hit, unless he really needs the yards to convert a third down or score. I think he does this on purpose to stay fresh in the game (a little guy like him can only take so many big hits). Using his agility in this way makes him more effective in the 4th quarter and could also prolong his career. This is fine by me so long as he stays up and fights when the situation calls for it, which I think he does.
Dalecitymike
I'm still waiting for Clinton Portis to open up with a big run 45 yards or something. I know he's playing hurt, which really sucks!
