Ghost of
Not that I want them to score again, but that was a catch. Ever wonder if people just aren't as observant as you? It was CLEAR he had his hand under that ball and had control of it. Replay officials are morons.
chomerics
I thought that was a catch by Watson. Same here. but I didn't want to sound like a homer.

Ghost of
the ball moved in his hands though That is irrelevant. The ball didn't touch the ground. If you look, all movement had to do with his hand protecting the ball from the turf. This is the equivalent of the ball rolling around on your chest--it's a catch. Gallen5862
We fired our replay ref this year. Did we ever hire a new guy?

Gallen5862
Portis got mentioned and shown in the video. Tim Mcgraw will be doing this each Monday night for the half time highlights.
Gallen5862
I think it will work out better letting the coaches decide when to challenge. The ref we hired last year was terrible.
Gallen5862
The scoring has slowed down this half. The defenses and punting has improved.
chomerics
Pats are starting to take over. Oakland is a dangerous team though, that much is apparent.

Mikeoz
Yup, the Pats seem to have things pretty much wrapped up. I agree the Raiders definetly have some flair w/ Moss, but Collins looks a little uncomfortable in the pocket. Blitzing from the Pats seems to have clearly gotten him out of any rhythm he may have had. The rest of the game will dictate whether or not the Raiders can show some poise and have another good drive. Kerry Collins needs to settle down and make some good reads and throws. Gallen5862
The Raiders are driving again but had to waste a timeout.
chomerics
It goes down to their O-line. If they give him protection, then they'll be great. They definately have a lot of potential, and although I don't care for Turner, he knows how to use weapons.
chomerics
Another foolish Maddenism. He said something like Look at what Moss does, he draws all the defenders. You see, he runs the route over the middle, and all the defenders move up to cover Moss. They hit the replay, and Moss in is man-man coverage, nobody moves up
Mikeoz
While I think the deep ball is important, Oakland seems to have alot of deep patterns. The problem with this is that if the throws aren't on, it stays 2nd or 3rd and 10. Is it just me or do they run alot of deep patterns and not run that many short patterns? The Pats run a good mix of deep and short patterns, but I guess the Pats receivers are smaller and quicker which makes them open on the shorter posts and slants. Gallen5862
The Raiders do need to work in some more underneath routes in their play book. It does seem like they concentrate on the bomb.
