  1. I really don't get the howell love. Everyone keeps saying it's basically his first year, it's not, it's toward the end of his second year. We haven't seen him get any better since the beginning of this year. His metrics are not good. In most He is 22 or worse. He leads the league in picks, and even worse pick 6s and has had 2 other pick 6s dropped along with 4 other dropped into. He throws into double and triple teams all the time. His accuracy is subpar more often than not. And the thing that is the worst is that he never steps up into the pocket. He is to short with short arms so he can't step up in the pocket, he won't be able to see anything. So instead what happens is he tries to run out and runs right into defenders arms for sacks, ive seen it happen so many times, hi pocket presense is not good, its like he doesnt feel the pressure at all. He drops back and stands flat footed like a statue a lot. He holds the ball to long which causes more sacks. He has had a few fumbles, one for a td for the other team. I mean yes he has made a few good plays but not enough to win games, and he has made just as many awful plays if not more. Maybe one day he will be ok/decent to possibly even middle of the pack good, but is that really worth passing on a top 5 pick at qb that is a possible blue chipper on a cheap contract for 5 years? I say most definitely not. Sam is like a short Jason Campbell. People say maye is a taller sam howell and would rather keep sam howell because they like him so much. Why, if you think maye is a taller sam howell and you like sam you should like maye even more. Plus c williams and j daniels look to have unbelievable potential, I'm talking Mahomes and Lamar. And I personally like maye a lot as well. If we can get one of those three without trading up you have to do it. We can't afford to pass on the next Tua or Herbert again.
  2. I really want a young offensive coach. But more and more you see the teams with the best storyline winning with te help of some refball. If the nfl is scripted or rigged in anyway than the coach to get would be belichek. The nfl is sure to love the storyline of him breaking the all time wins record, and be the first to win the big one with 2 different teams. He is buddy buddy with the commish and the owner of the pats and the giants. It could be the perfect story. The nfl and espn media would eat it up. And the refball would go our way for once. He could hire a bright young oc, coach here for 2 years, break the record in the second year on his way to winning the superbowl, and retiring after, getting the perfect storybook ending just like Peyton manning did. Then give the reigns over to the young oc with a new stadium in the works. The story is perfect. But if the nfl is not rigged and scripted then give me a gm that is not stuck in the old way, someone that will use analytics and be innovative, that will set up a good future looking fo, and a young offensive minded hc that will be on the same page.
  3. My draft crush is Daniels. He is tall and looks like he can and will add more weight to his frame. Has a big arm, just as accurate if not more so than sam. But he has game breaking speed at the qb position. We need speed. I like Williams, maye, and Daniel's and if we have a chance at one without having to trade up you do so. Sam looks like he will be good at best. He is to short to step up in the pocket so he runs right into sacks. He holds the ball to long which leads to more sacks. He forces throws into double and triple teams. He throws lots of ints and throws tds to the other team. His accuracy isn't great. He has had some big drops on important plays but the ball always seemed to be on the back hip instead on the numbers or out in front making the catches more difficult, no excuse for the drops but the passes should've been better. I do like that he is tough and he does really well off script quite often. But the bad outweighs the good with him. If you gotta chance at one of the top 3 qbs you gotta take it. Keep sam and let them compete. If sam is as good as some claim and as tough as some claim then he should be able to mentally handle it. And if sam wins the job good, if the rookie does good. We gotta keep trying til we find our guy
  4. Wow, hopefully the other bad teams keep winning and we keep strengthening our culture rivera style. We might have a chance at number 2 overall
  5. Long time lurker, first time posting. Rams in a must win, they have a great qb wr connection. That is manders cryptonite. Im thinking 31-23 rams with a game that was never really in doubt with some big garbage time yards and a td for Sam. Man I hope we don't screw this up and loose this top 4 pick, don't think we have to worry but that this week
