  1. After a day of being upset, I'm now realizing that it's a good move to trade both Sweat and Young. I liked them both a lot, but at the end of the day neither of them are elite pass rushers. And we have seen the defense play better minus Chase Young when players who are not as talented might play harder and with more discipline. I'm looking forward to Sunday just to see what changes this brings. That being said, I will miss rooting for both Sweat and Young on our team. Besides that, I was looking at some of the 2024 free agents, and with us not having to pay one or both of the DE's big money. We could go get some players like Patrick Queen (LB), Jaylon Johnson (CB), Brian Burns (DE), Lajarius Sneed (CB), and Josh Uche (DE). Sign me up for that! (Not saying we could get all of them but let's say two or three of these guys and that would be exciting).
  2. Man, I'm not going to lie I was disappointed I wanted Christian Gonzalez like most of us. However, I don't evaluate players so what do I know lol, I will say Devonta Smith is skinny and he can play. Desean Jackson was small and skinny too, and I remember Dominique Rodgers Cromartie being skinny and he played pretty well.... time will tell.
  3. I think your underestimating the value of DE's especially one who has not lived up to his potential yet. There are GM's out there who think they can be the guy to fix/help him. However, I am actually more into the idea of trading Montez Sweat for whatever we could get. Keep Chase Young, draft Nolan Smith.
  4. I heard an idea today and the more I think about it, the more I like it! With trying to decide whether we keep Chase Young or Montez Sweat. What if Washington drafted Nolan Smith, to play LB/Edge just like Micah Parson's does. Then you trade one DE (Sweat or Young) resign the one you keep. And then you have Nolan Smith/Chase Young or Nolan Smith/Montez Sweat as your edge rushers. You can play Smith at LB 1st and 2nd down, then he rushes the passer on 3rd down, and you only pay him his rookie contract for 4 years while you are paying your star DE, and two DT's!!! Thoughts?
  5. JP Finlay has been saying that this year's free agency is going to be very cheap options if any... a couple guys that I think would be pretty cheap and good value could be: - Germaine Pratt (LB) - Will Hernandez (LG) - Jawaan Taylor (RT) - Resign Heinecke (backup QB) - Resign Holcomb (LB) And I think were good, then you can focus on the draft fix your o line needs and let's hope Sam Howell balls out!
  6. I like this topic, gives us something to talk about that isn't all doom and gloom. First thing is the team being sold; I don't care who it is as long as Dan Snyder is no longer the owner of this franchise. Next: 1. Fire Ron Rivera and the entire coaching staff (love Ron as a person, but his coaching days are over). 2. Fire both GM's Marty and Marty (made no sense why we had two in the first place). 3. Retain Jason Wright (I actually think he is a smart guy who can help). 4. New owner and Jason Wright can begin the process of hiring a new GM and head coach. 5. Once the GM and head coach are hired, let the head coach actually choose his own coordinators and staff (personally I like Brian Flores, Demeco Ryans, Eric Beineimy). 6. Let the GM and head coach evaluate the players and make decisions on the roster. 7. I would love to retain DaRon Payne, but realistically you probably cannot if you need to rebuild. I think resigning Cam Kurl and Cole Holcomb is extremely important, look at signing offensive lineman, CB, LB in free agency. Leave QB to the draft, we should be done with trading for everyone else's used up QB's and look to find our guy in the draft (if it's not Sam Howell). 8. Start the process of building a new stadium (if the new owner is spending 7 billion on a new team, this maybe unlikely but if its Bezos he can drop another 1 billion on a new stadium no problem). 9. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show! If the owner does not interfere with football decisions and doesn't grope people, he will be a saint and forever loved in DC!
  7. I was at the game yesterday, and it was awesome to see Terry make that catch live! Also, fans at Lucas Oil Stadium are very friendly, I had a group let me sit next to them when eating in the club level. The lady I sat next to during the game was telling me about the Colts and how much she hates Matt Ryan lol. And finally, all the heckling I heard towards our team (I was behind our bench) was actually funny and not too disrespectful.
  8. I'm gonna be going to this game on Sunday! Are there any tips from someone who has been to Lucas Oil Stadium before? Is finding parking difficult? Anything I should be aware of? Thanks in advance
  9. They put in Benjamin St Juste on the outside with Kendall Fuller, and Wildgoose was playing in the slot.
  10. Frustrated after watching the game, but one thing I will say is at least we had a chance to win at the end of it. If we can continue to be competitive, believe it or not that is improvement over the last few weeks. I'm glad they benched William Jackson, now they need to bench Bobby McCain, and FINALLY Montez Sweat decided to play football. Idk what to say about the offense, that is a train wreck of a situation.
  11. I'm sure Ereck Flowers is too fat now, but I think he was too fat when he played here too lol
  12. Although watching that game yesterday sucked, I think we did learn a few things that I hope the coaches will think about. First BSJ needs to be playing outside corner, that's it the slot experiment should be over for him. Your outside corners should be BSJ and WJ3, Fuller can play in the slot. And honestly, I would play him part time at FS as well. I know he moved there for Kansas City when he played there, and I think did well. Maybe could be his career resurgence similar to Charles Woodson? Sweat does not need to be extended by this team, someone else can pay him all that money to do nothing, and Payne should be brought back if they are able to pay him but keep it reasonable and not the highest paid DT in the league. Why doesn't Darrick Forrest start over Bobbie McCain, idk why he is still here? And finally, Ereck Flowers is still a free agent pleaseee bring in some guards that don't get blown up every play! What do you all think?
