  1. We've danced this dance far too long. We've had the Scherff's, the Williams, the Youngs, the Sweats. We haven't had a truly elite tier QB, if there's a shot we can get one, we have to act period. Now if there isn't a road to what we believe to be a truly elite QB then by all means have at it with a lineman in the first round, I love that Alt kid for example, but simply disregarding any potential improvement at QB because the time isn't right is odd.
  2. It's the only question, in a league of have or have nots the QB is king, you can never simply disregard it in any given off season. First round in the draft isn't the only place for us to enhance the O Line there are other avenues.
  3. Gotta say Ron usually struggles with clock management but he did a great job of it there ... for Miami
  4. He literally might as well not have been on the field it would have had the same impact
  5. I know it’s not what a lot of you want to hear, but Sam Howell’s future here is far from safe with a new GM / HC incoming
  6. Can’t wait for he DB’s to be doing their celebrations at 70 down when they make 1 play
  7. Not sure it’s that they aren’t entitled to an opinion, it’s questioning the merit behind their opinion. Ron has set a culture of mediocrity which those players seem to have bought into, EB comes in and makes higher demands and they get uncomfortable, it’s weak mentality. All academic mind you as neither EB nor most of those players will be here in a season or two’s time.
  8. It's not feasible to keep fire the entire coaching staff and keep Eric Bienemy for 2 reasons: 1. He hasn't shown himself to be indispensable 2. The new GM / HC needs to bring in their own guy with their own identity He's given it his best shot, but I wont be sad to see him depart
  9. I'm still not convinced, but I really want to be. I'll confess to being somewhat confused as to what i'm really looking at here, if you love the guy you'll say look at some of the big plays, the O line is to blame for limited success. If you're not so fond of him you'll point to the interceptions and say that the number of yards is purely down to attempts. I think in this circumstance I will play the ball not the man, despite the extremely limited 'success' we've had in modern times, visits to the top 5 of the draft are fleeting especially with what seems to be a strong QB class so this could be a golden opportunity to find the true QB1 franchise changer. I'd certainly not be upset if the new regime either drafted one where we are or got aggressive and moved up. Those Howell ride or dies will point once more to the O line but there are other ways of improving that situation without using our first round pick.
