If you want a scary glimpse into the vaccine future, my sister-in-laws medical office had 17 people who could get the vaccine. Two people chose to get it, the two doctors. So even in an office where everyone is exposed to modern medicine, only the most educated chose to get it. There is a myth/rumor going around that the vaccine causes birth defects. Then there is the issue of the shots not being approved or tested on kids yet. Then, I think about us needing to get to 80 percent for herd immunity. It is going to take a long time.
The only good news I have is if so many who could get the vaccine opt not to do so, my family will get their shots quicker. The supply will stretch further down the list of populations who can get it.
Your last paragraph is good news. The quicker my family and I can get it the better. I’m prepared to have to wait until June, but if it moves up a couple of months, then great.

The no fly list guy needs to take more personal responsibility. He keeps talking about “they” did this to him. Hey buddy, when you point your finger there are three pointing back to you.

During the NO/Chi pregame, JLC said that it’s likely that both Trubisky and Winston return to their teams. And that Winston will likely be day 1 starter for the Saints.

FA, one in our first four picks, and one speedster at the end of the draft.

This thing is going on the right direction.

I’m not 100% opposed to Turner batting leadoff. He has his whole career. I just think there’s a huge hole left by Rendon’s departure that we were struggling to fill last season until they moved Turner/Soto down in the lineup. I actually like Stevenson at leadoff with Turner/Soto 2&3 but if they insist on Stevenson being the 4th OF then I would hope Robles can turn the corner because he’d be my #1 guy to bat leadoff if he can cut down the K’s. I’m with you though, looking at this lineup right now if it’s not Turner than who??
Yeah, I love Robles, but he needs to play his way into the top of the order. He doesn’t get on base enough. They need a guy in the two spot who moves the ball and can hit deep into counts.
What I like about Turner in the lead off spot is that he puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher when he gets on base. Having Eaton struggle last season killed them.
I don’t mind having my best hitter hit second like Trout. If they had a better option at two or three, I’d be happy to slide Castro down to 5 or 6. I just don’t see it yet. -
Chance of a lifetime! Let’s go!

Why would you bat Castro in the 3 spot? Turner had tremendous OPS & SLG why would you bat him with nobody on? Juan Soto has the best OBP probably in the league with his walk rate and you wouldn’t for a second bat him leadoff.
Who’s getting on for Turner and Soto? What’s your lineup?

There is no doubt that most Capitol Hill Police officers performed bravely. I do want to hear an explanation of why the four or five officers moved the barricades on the West Front plaza and allowed people in. I have to believe that they got word that the line of defense was being moved back, and that it wasn't an ad hoc decision by them. The selfie thing was a stupid decision by that cop. I'll wait to hear if it was anything more than that.
But yeah, as more of those harrowing clips from inside the Capitol came out, we finally see what those cops had to face.
Agreed. There were a bunch of heroes in that department. Things could have been so worse.

Mo Brooks is going to be in for some rough times. Never heard of him before this week. But he’ll be well known throughout this year.

Turner is either batting 2nd or 3rd in the lineup. Castro is not a 3 hole hitter. That would be a joke.
Why wouldn’t you put your best OBP guy (outside of Soto) with stolen base capability at leadoff? Who would you bat at leadoff? What about the rest?

As it stands, Nats defense is a real concern.
I feel that concern, though their weakest defenders play the least premium defensive positions (3rd base is a big question mark) and their staff has high k rates.

There’s no ideal two hitter on this team. Not that great OBP. I’d be tempted to try a lineup like this:
Turner 6
Soto 9
Castro 4
Bell 3
Schwarber 7
Robles 8
Keiboom 5
Gomes 2
Id be surprised if they are in on Reamulto at this point.
A lot of boom or bust in this lineup.

Biggs, Gosar, Hawley, Cruz, Brooks, and Tubberville are going to go through some things. We’ll be hearing their names as coordinators of this insurrection

I found it very ****ing weird that he makes his speeches on the floor of the Senate looking into the camera on the far side of the room. Lawrence O’Donnell commented on it after I noticed it and said he uses his speeches like an interview. He’s a slimy dude even aside from the whole seditiony sideshow (not surprised he and Cruz were in lockstep).
Speaking of Cruz, Brian Williams pointed out that Cruz and Michelle Obama have the exact same education (Princeton/Harvard Law) and followed up with something to the effect of “they took very different life paths though”, lol.
Hawley is the Papa Doc of the Senate. He wants to portray himself as a man for the blue collar people. But he’s a prep school kid of great privilege. There’s gotta be a recording of him somewhere denigrating his constituents.

Honestly, I feel bad for her family. There’s got to be some guilt there. But she was a grown woman. My wife and I had a conversation tonight reflecting that we are fortunate that we don’t have to make tough decisions regarding our close family members.

His has a dead cap next season (whether we cut or trade him) of $10.8 million and $5 million in 2022:
Alex Smith Contract Breakdowns, Salary Cap Figures, Salaries, Bonuses | Spotrac
However, if we cut him or he retires (like I expect), we save $14 million because he's making $24 million this season. That would bump our cap space to $50 million +. Keep in mind we still have some FA's to sign.
Got it. But my question is more around the unused cap from 2020 which is like 20-22M according to over the cap. Either all or a portion of that should roll over in 2021? Is he including that?

I'm sure they believe that she was a patriot killed by antifa.
But if she was killed by antifa, then that’s scary because that means antifa has infiltrated Capitol police. Do Blue Lives Matter?

Facebook man. I went to see what the blue lives matter folks have to say. They are all blaming Antifa and BLM movements and calling the whole thing a liberal hoax.
If they are correct, then they have to give Ashli Babbitt a ton of credit for committing to the bit.
