Sounds like a more honest intriguing pitch for a financial advisor … rather than the usual ad with the picture of the (financial advisors) yacht

I’m pretty disciplined about not watching the markets daily, and at the end of every month I take a snapshot of all our investments in a spreadsheet in order to have a record of allocation percentage and total asset values over time to help with trends and planning.

But when the market reaches a high I feel compelled to make an early update for this month. 🤣

I record at the end of each month, but I definitely check during the month frequently. But I know not to make changes to my overall approach.

I really hope Rizzo and Davey acknowledge the sunk cost and move on.

In 2023, 96% of MLB catchers were faster in pop time than he was. That's awful, they made changes and...

In 2024, now 99% of MLB catchers are faster in pop time. This is who he is. He's slow at everything he does.

For reference, pop time is: "How quickly, in seconds, a catcher can get the ball out of his glove and to the base on a stolen base or pickoff attempt."

He's not an MLB level athlete.

    • 99% of hitters have a faster bat speed than him. If he was on the qualified hitter list, he'd have the 4th slowest bat speed in all of baseball.
    • 99% of catchers have a faster pop time.
    • 97% of baserunners have a faster sprint speed than him.

Here's his 2024 statcast page. He swings so slowly that he's better at making contact with the ball. But that contact is terrible contact. So he doesn't strike out. Yay.

Is this chart career or just 2024?

Ok. I thought it just came out. I thought it was just going to be a comedy of sorts about the crazy woman. My wife recently worked with somebody like that so I thought she'd get a laugh out of it.

I did read on IMDB that the actor was the actual protagonist but I wonder how much is accurate.

I’m three episodes in. Yes, uncomfortable is the correct term for it. I’ve read a little where there are some blatant exaggerations/inaccuracies in it. I’ll read more, but I don’t want spoilers.

I had a roommate in college who experienced something loosely similar to the premise. It was awful.

Stoney already dropped out to run for LG. I suspect VA Dems told him to get out of the way for Spanberger.

Oh yeah. I forgot about that. I think Spanberger pulls in the suburban mom vote that went sweatervest’s way in 2021. She’ll be a strong candidate.

A former Capitol Hill officer who was there on January 6th is a Democratic candidate, a former rioter who served time for assaulting a police officer is a Republican candidate.  Seems about right, this is the state of our country today.

I'm all for these debates. It will give those still undecided another look at just how unhinged Donald Trump is and always will be.  Biden may appear slow but just like last time he will keep his cool and let Trump make an ass out of himself. Again.

I don’t understand how anyone can be undecided with these two. I understand that there are people like that out there, I just don’t get it.

Not sure. This was Abigail Spanberger's seat - she's going to run for Governor. She has defeated 2 (3?) maga challengers to hold the spot. But I'm not sure what 2024 looks like without her...

Cool. So, yeah, this could be potentially a competitive seat.

BTW, I think Spanberger gets the nomination over Stoney next year.

The Good vs. McGuire feud is heating up. Each idiot trying to kiss the Orange Turd's ring. Good has signs up with Good & Orange Turd with his commercials showing the Orange Turd quotes of support from 2022 (before he decided to back Rhonda). McGuire signs with maga on them & commercials showing Orange Turd support. Gotta stay off local TV until June 18th so I don't have to watch this ****show...

Is there any chance a Dem can beat either one, or nah?

  8. The Butker stuff is in a few threads now.

What he said is completely disgusting, yet not surprising.

I’m not someone who will say the Chiefs should release him or that the NFL should suspend him. Freedom of speech and all that. He deserves every ounce of backlash and vitriol that comes his way.

Some things that surprised me was that I just assumed this was an Evangelical/Christian Nationalist thing. Didn’t realize this was a Catholic thing.

I didn’t know that there are Catholic schools in Middle America that charge $43k a year to tell their female students that their way to contribute to society is to pop out kids, stay at home, and make sure dinner isn’t cold.

    It’s all disturbing.

Here’s a few quotes from the idiot kicker, Butker: one not listed in the article was not to be apologetic for being manly. Like WTF apologies got that? Link: USA Today

“I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolic lies told to you. Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.

“I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother. I’m on this stage today, able to be the man that I am, because I have a wife who leans into her vocation.

“I’m beyond blessed with the many talents God has given me, but it cannot be overstated that all my success is made possible because a girl I met in band class back in middle school would convert to the faith, become my wife, and embrace one of the most important titles of all. Homemaker.”

Then, Butker got to what he termed the dangers of the “church of nice.”

“The world around us says that we should keep our beliefs to ourselves whenever they go against the tyranny of diversity, equity and inclusion,” Butker said. “We fear speaking truth, because now, unfortunately, truth is in the minority.”

Then, on to Pride Month, which takes place in June.

“Not the deadly sins sort of Pride that has an entire month dedicated to it, “but the true God-centered pride that is cooperating with the holy ghost to glorify him.”

Butker has every right to say whatever he wants at such an address, but he also deserves the flak he’s going to get over it. Most likely, he’ll take it as one for the team in the fight against, as he put it, “dangerous gender ideologies.”

Imagine you are the parents of a 22 year old woman and you have just spent $172k for four years of this “college” only to be told that she should stay at home and make sandwiches.

Afaik, it applies to every unqualified early withdrawal from every Roth accounts.  So it applies to Roth IRAs too.

EDIT:  Hmm, it looks like for Roth IRA, contributions come out first, so different rules apply to Roth IRA

    Your edit was my understanding.

But, just like sex, everything I learned, I learned from the streets. So not sure how great my education is.
