Tommy Devito lives with his parents which means he doesn't have to do his own laundry or make his own meals, which in turn leaves him more time for football. This is not a joke, this is literally what the announcers were saying last week during the Giants game when talking about the advantages of living with your parents.

Yes. What is the reason for the lack of blitzing? I hate that we don't blitz more. I mean they're giving up huge plays anyways, might as well blitz to see if that helps. Drives me crazy.

There isn't a snowball's chance in hell that we drop Howell and start from scratch. It's not going to happen, full stop, period, end of conversation. -
2024 NFL Draft Position/Tracker - Final Pick #2
Tyler Spiers replied to zCommander's topic in The Stadium
After their annual Thanksgiving gimme, the Cowboys schedule is brutal. Seattle. Philly. @Buffalo. @Miami. Detroit. @Washington. Would love to get a reeling Cowboys team for the last game of the season. My dream is that we turn their dream into a nightmare. -
2024 NFL Draft Position/Tracker - Final Pick #2

I like that we have a BYE before that last 4 game stretch. We will definitely not beat the Cowboys on Thanksgiving but we will beat the Giants for sure. If we could somehow beat Miami before the BYE (a huge IF), I think that would be a huge momentum swing for us to make the playoffs. I think we smoke the Rams and win a tough one against Jets after the bye. San Fran will be a chore but they can be beat and I think we split with Cowboys. -
2024 NFL Draft Position/Tracker - Final Pick #2

Very true but we have competed valiantly with some of the best teams already (Philly and Seattle). I'm hoping the defense can somehow make a miraculous turnaround. -

Only Mary Jane but we've done it before with much less talent at QB. -
2024 NFL Draft Position/Tracker - Final Pick #2

I'm a bit more optimistic: Giants (Win) (5-6) Dallas (Loss) (5-7) Miami (Loss) (5-8) Rams (Win) (6-8) Jets (Win) (7-8) San Fran (Win) (8-8) Dallas (Win) (9 - 😎 We win last 4 to make playoffs as 7th seed, save Ron's butt and give Sam the opportunity to run the table Brady style, hopefully culminating us in getting the 32nd and 33rd picks. The last part is a joke but I do believe we go 9-8 and make the playoffs. -

EB inherited a jailbreak offensive line and poor tight end blocking, those are the only glaring struggles I've seen. Has he been perfect? No. Has he turned a 5th rounder into one of the top quarterbacks in the league? Yes. I think building a dominant offensive line, getting better tight ends, a big #1 receiver to pair with Terry and Dotson, our offense will be unstoppable next year. I'm hoping that's what they'll do because I'm really excited what EB and Howell have done this season and want to continue to build on that. -

He's going to have a long, successful career as a head coach with the team lucky enough to get him. And I hope that team is us. Look what he did first with Mahomes and now look what he's doing with Howell. Howell looks like Mahomes already his first season playing! Go look at their stats side by side right now. Other than the sacks, their stats are almost identical. This is no coincidence. It's because Bienemy knows how to coach up top talent and knows how to draw up plays. Pair Bienemy with an equally bad ass DC and that's all she wrote. Washington will be a perennial playoff team. I mean, you may be right about adding responsibilities right now but I absolutely do not want Bienemy fired. In my opinion, he's already done enough to be our next head coach. -

The O doesn't need to perform better, the D does. Will the O digress with Bienemy in control? Anything is possible but in my opinion, it will improve. Everything will improve. Ron clearly can't manage anything. Let Bienemy be the Head Coach and Playcaller and let's see if he's got the goods. Because the dumbest thing we could do is fire Bienemy because he was anchored by clueless Ron. Firing Ron also puts the D on notice and hopefully fires Del Rio up to get the D performing better. -

Bienemy is a winner, a multiple Super Bowl winner, and is turning Howell into a superstar. Howell is a winner. I would rather see what Bienemy and Howell can do the rest of the season without Ron holding things up. We already have a terrible Defensive Coordinator, we don't need two terrible defensive coordinators. Let Ron go and let's go with Bienemy. -

They should fire Ron today and hand the keys to Bienemy this week. He couldn't do any worse and then we can see if Bienemy is the answer. The two blown timeouts was the final straw, it was only because of Howell's awesomeness that Ron was bailed out there. -
Welcome to the Redskins Chase Young DE Ohio State
Tyler Spiers replied to Sacks 'n' Stuff's topic in Around the NFL
I agree with this trade because Chase was underwhelming but it's sad because I think Chase will be a force with the Niners and a terror to Washington every time they play. I know he was a bust here but I think the Niners will know how to use him. But had to be done, I'm happy with the large number of draft picks coming in. -
We already have a QB. You should be collecting as much draft capital as possible to shore up linebacker, secondary and offensive line. Then let Curtis Samuel go, get an AJ Brown type to pair with McLaurin and Dotson (spend big on that one in free agency). I would also trade Sweat, keep Chase (he'll eventually be great), and add another stud defensive end. Then I would get another stud TE to pair with Thomas. I would also spend big on a LT if there is one out there.

Yes, he was miserable against the Falcons with 3 TD's and no interceptions with a 119.7 QB rating in a WIN. Total bum. CUT HIM, CUT HIM NOW! Giants game wasn't his best but it wasn't miserable, he still gave us a chance to win. And he almost got us back into the miserable Chicago game if the field goal kicker hadn't missed an easy one. I can't believe that some of you can't see that this kid is the future. A very bright future. Take your blinders off and enjoy the ride.

That you said today was MAYBE his best game makes me think you don't know much about football. It was clearly his best game and he's had other great games as well in his very young career. Other than one game, he's been HOT. Blazing Hot. He has not been equally worse this past month, he's been great other than the Buffalo game. Even Brady, Aikman, Manning have had games like that (many games like that in fact) so give the kid just a tiny teensy little break. And on top of that, after the Buffalo game he bounced back and almost BY HIMSELF won us the Eagles game at the Eagles. Probably would have if the coach had gone for 2. You should not be making any trade decisions. With you in charge, we would trade Sam for a Sam Sandwich, sign a vet for 40 Million per year, he'd snap his leg off first snap of the season, and then we'd have to go out and re-sign Taylor Heinicke. You know, the Dan Snyder team building method. And why will he be on his third offense, we could win the next three games and be 6-5 heading into Dallas on Thanksgiving, finish the season strong and continue to build. We were never going to win the Super Bowl this year. I would keep most of the coaching staff and get a new, younger defensive coordinator. Or just make Bienemy the head coach, he's a good dude and would be a fantastic head coach. This way Sam stays in that offense, which is clearly working for him. I'm not happy with the record, but I am happy with Sam Howell and the future of this young team. Just jump on board and stop being a Negative Nancy and don't call people Lad when your argument is clearly the wrong one.

RG3 was an injury plagued one season wonder who got figured out by the end of his first season. Great season and super talented, but nowhere near Sam Howell in terms of upside. Kirk Cousins is an OK starter who can't win the big games (and never will) because he's so uptight and weird. I will give it to Kirk Cousins for being a top-notch business man and self-marketer. The man is a genius for generating so much money after accomplishing so little. I believe Sam Howell is a 20 year starter who won't get injured that often due to his stocky body (Russel Wilson-esque) and has the IT factor to win Super Bowls if you give him a good O-Line. He demolished the Cowboys his first game, to me that's a good omen for his entire career.

Sam Howell is the best QB this team has had since Mark Rypien. And he's only 23 and has much more upside and skill than Rypien. Surround him with the right team and coaches and I think he can win a couple of Super Bowls before his career is over and get us to the playoffs on a yearly basis. He is a total winner and he is the QB Washington has been waiting for.
