What does that have to do with teachers?
It's unrealistic to ask them to do something that requires combat training. Trying to solve the problem of elementary school shootings by asking teachers to do something that requires combat training is depraved.

I think the solution is obvious. All teachers must go through a full BUD/S training before being allowed in the classroom.
I'm thinking something more in the line of Jason Bourne training where they erase their memory and the final test is shooting someone in the head. Good guys with guns!

I'm sure that my wife is up for hours and hours of gun and combat training in between her writing of IEP's from the time she gets home until the time she goes to bed, and buying her own school supplies.
One more time for those in the back. SWAT officers receive combat training. LAPD SWAT (for examples) sends their officers to train at a USMC base.

So in lieu of regular beat officers, a SPECIALLY TRAINED unit was able to take the kid out. If you're suggesting the best solution is to send teachers to a gun range to take a couple of classes and put them in a real life situation with an active shooter, you're absolutely depraved.

Not sure if anyone has seen this movie, but I've been thinking quite a bit about We Need To Talk About Kevin. While gun nuts suggest everything from God to the return of the "traditional family structure" as a magical cure for antisocial personality disorder, as far as I know there isn't a whole lot that can be done about severe cases. Adam Lanza was diagnosed as a young kid if I'm not mistaken, so when they turn 18, why can't HIPAA be circumvented as far as it concerns the purchasing of AR-15s? There's no way this kid had access to the same medical care as Lanza, but from what I've read you don't need to be a medical professional to see there's a very good chance this is a kid born with APD. Why can APD not be a hard no red flag when it comes to purchasing AR-15s (ideally any type of fire arm but baby steps)?

The most likely result of having random untrained teachers in there with guns in a situation like this is nothing at best and even more dead kids at worst.
I've seen new shooters at the range completely miss the target over and over again from 10 feet away. And that's without any outside stressors. In an active shooter situation you'll have someone who probably doesn't shoot often plus the adrenaline and tunnel vision that comes along with a high stress situation.
So an unskilled shooter + shaking hands + panic + tunnel vision + 1 shooter + hundreds of kids = more dead kids. It's way more likely that that teacher with a gun would do collateral damage than actually hit the shooter.
It’s almost like SWAT officers receive vigorous psychological training

A balloon drop would be a more effective distraction than a terrified trembling teacher trying to load a gun

I'm technologically uninclined. Tweet from a Houston news station says the suspect's name is Salvador Romas. Could be another Adam Lanza

Abbott will be out tomorrow mandating that all teachers be armed. I wouldn't be surprised....something....something.....soft targets.
Rolling out a "Tots with Glocks" program as we speak
Reports saying the suspect is a local 18 year old kid.

Uvalde is 83% Hispanic. What are the odds of this being another replacement theory nut?

QB vs non QB. Just like TL was the number pick from high school. The same for Caleb.
I don't think he's as good as Bryce Young or C.J Stroud. Gun to my head May 2022 I see them as picks 1,2 with some elite defensive prospects to follow.

It would be some hesitation but his whole family was exactly the same
That's maddening. Ruining their kid's chance at success because they want to puff their chest out before he's done anything.

I remember the Seahawks were destroyed for their first 3 picks in the 2012 draft. Who were the picks? Bruce Irvin, Bobby Wagner and Russell Wilson.

The idea that an aggregate of media outlets and fan run sites doing mock drafts can tell a Shannahan he reached for a RB tells you all you need to know about so called reaches.

I thought he was arrogant in QB1 (Netflix). But he seemed well liked by people and his teammates believed in him.
That show makes for intriguing viewing, but when you give an 18 year old boy, that already gets told how wonderful he is every day just because he can ball, his own reality show, there's a really good chance you'll bring out the dbag in him. I'd hesitate to judge their character based off this show, but there are cases like Tate Martell where the dbag is just who he is.

Will Levis is going to make the QB list at some point in the fall. Bryan Bresee is probably the number two DT at the moment

Cole Turner would be a decent pick here

Newton has a mic in his ear there’s no way he actually knows where he is or what’s going on.

Well let’s see, cornerback is a need and it can’t just be a reach, but it has to also bland and unimaginative, so a traditional college football blue blood that hasn’t won crap in 100 years. I’m going with Vincent Gray, CB Michigan.

It’d probably a meltdown in here if we took him but I’m a BIG fan of Cam Thomas from SDSU and I hope we take him.

I don’t care what their measurements say. Lockett looks like a midget out there. Dotson looks and plays like a regular sized receiver.Nothing against Lockett, he’s a fine receiver, but they just don’t move similarly at all.
All you said is their size is different. What is about their skill set that you find incomparable?

I wonder why they didn't rate Skyy Moore or Burks at that level.
Not sure about Burks but I think Rivera mentioned Dotson's arm length as something they really liked, and Moore while having a similar skillset has short arms.
