Yeah not good that the strength of the team is now a weakness. Things could get really ugly unless Haskins steps it up -

Synder is good at one thing and one thing only. Using business buzz words to death in press releases. Other than that he’s pond scum.- 25,324 replies

JKC set up a great football structure and let JG and BB do what they do-without interfering. He would be as successful today as he was then. JKC wasn’t perfect - but Syner isn’t fit to be JKC’s chauffeur.- 25,324 replies

Did the Post have an agenda 30 years ago when the team was winning Superbowls? Or did this “agenda” appear about 20 years ago- about the same time Synder bought the team and embarrassing missteps started happening with regularity?- 25,324 replies

Some people like Gibbs828791 probably won’t believe anything anti- Washington team. ‘My guess is the Watergate investigative also wasn’t vetted enough for him...- 25,324 replies

A New Start! (the Reboot) The Front Office, Ownership, & Coaching Staff Thread

My fanbood was waning long before this. Synder’s ownership has drained me of most enthusiasm years ago. The team is a disgrace. A cess pool of scum. Having said that, i don’t close the door to reviving my fandom. But it starts and ends with the departure of Synder.- 25,324 replies

I gave up my season tickets in 2007 and I haven’t looked back.

I can’t believe it’s been over a year since the Skins won at home. By time they play again in Landover they will likely be 1-8 and playing in front of 20K diehards.

Looked and sounded like 40% of fans were 49er fans.

I agree with you there. As my last post said, the quality of referring has markedly gone downhill. Terrible calls - or non calls - are being made in just about every game I watch. A few things help me keep my sanity. First, I truly believe fans focus on the bad calls against their team than the good calls that helped (ie first Dallas game). Second, it would upset me more if i felt like it made a difference in the season. The eye test tells me the Redskins aren’t a very good team. Good teams don’t put themselves in position to let the refs determine outcome of games. I get angry at a blown assignment, poor defender angle, terrible execution, or lousy clock mgmt way more than bad refereeing. People complained about refs in the 1970’s, 1980’, and 1990’s too. But we had a good run back then. 😉

I don’t have any proof - yet. But I’m the type of person that generally doesn’t believe in conspiracies. I don’t believe there was a conspiracy to kill JFK, I don’t believe there was a conspiracy to deceive the American people by faking a moon landing, Etc. Could I be wrong? Of course. Now bias is a different argument. I don’t believe the NFL has ever told a ref to referee a game a certain way to influence the outcome (which would make it a conspiracy). But everybody has bias. And I’m guessing over the years a ref bias has, possibly unwittingly, had bias that lead to a call. But I don’t think it impacts the redskins more or less than any team. I think a much bigger problem is the officiating seems to have gotten much much worse over the years, and calls are not consistently being made. This is something the nfl needs to address because I think everybody can agree with this.
