  1. Listening to Bmitch and Finlay. The ringers mock draft has Pitt jumping us at 10 to draft Willis and us taking Pickett at 11. The comp for they use for Pickett is Tony Romo how would yall feel about it if thats basically what Pickett is?
  2. Sorry if i came across as combative. Didnt mean for it to come across that way. It was more meant to agree that he's my #1 as well.
  3. Corral is probably who I would go if available and we end up drafting rookie. Obviously size and injury concerns but for all the hate he gets we do have a qb on the roster that just put on 10 pounds in one offseason without seemingly affecting his athleticism. I also like that he’s done it for two years against the sec where Pickett has only done it for one against a very down acc. You also haven’t heard anything about hand size concerns for Corral like you have Pickett which is a very real concern. Willis has highest ceiling but probably lowest floor. Corral to me is the happy medium he has fairly high ceiling but I don’t think his floor is nearly as low as Willis’ outside of injury.
  4. Personally I think the guy they’d fall in love with personality wise is Corral. If you’ve listened to Kiper talk about Corral he sounds like a Heinicke clone except with much better tools to work with. I think Rivera is gonna love this dude once he gets to interview him and I think the fans would love him too for all the same reasons they love TH. https://www.on3.com/college/ole-miss-rebels/news/mel-kiper-points-out-the-one-thing-matt-corral-possesses-that-separates-him-from-2022-nfl-draft-class-ole-miss-rebels-lane-kiffin/ “Toughest quarterback you’ll ever find,” Kiper said. “If you look at him from 10, 15, 20 years ago, he wouldn’t look the part. He’s not 6-3, he’s not 215, 220 pounds. But tough as nails, high pain tolerance, he can really spin it. He’s a quarterback version of [215-pound former Steelers middle linebacker] Jack Lambert.” https://www.on3.com/college/ole-miss-rebels/news/mel-kiper-perfectly-describes-ole-miss-quarterback-matt-corral-ahead-of-the-2022-nfl-draft/ “Gritty competitor,” Kiper said of Corral. “He played through pain. He played through injury. Those guys love him. He’s a warrior out there for Ole Miss. Ron Rivera will love that, the former linebacker that he is from the NFL and at Cal. “You look at the frame, can he stay healthy is an issue. He can spin it. He can run. He’s a dual-threat quarterback. In terms of who is going to QB1 [in the 2022 NFL Draft], Matt Corral is certainly going to be in that mix.”
  5. No I’m not sure if they both would. But I do think Ron would get their opinions and take their opinions into account before signing trubisky especially if they said he wasn’t a good locker room guy. You’re right forgot Lucas is an upcoming fa but I could see them resigning him he played quite a bit last year in relief of cosmi and played fairly well.
  6. Disagree on the selling the locker room part. Keep in mind we have both Leno and Lucas on the roster who were both with Mitch in Chicago. Knowing Ron he would talk to both of those guys and get their opinions on Mitch before making that move. Fully agree on the coaching part of it. Chicago fans couldn’t wait to get rid of Leno and Lucas as both of them were not very good in Chicago. They come here and look like totally different guys. That comes down to coaching to me.
  7. At the time the comments that made news was the final 8 names so that was what made headlines instead of the comment about ownership
  8. I know who you’re talking about and can’t remember his name either. I know people were asking how he could afford it cause his net worth is “only” 450 million but apparently he’s got stakes in or owns several tv stations/ media companies that he could sell or be bought out of that would give him the capital to do it. I’ll see if I can find his name. Byron Allen has his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame In a statement made to Bloomberg.com, Allen had the following to say about his bid to buy the Broncos: Allen was a standup comedian at age 14 before building his own enterprise, founding Entertainment Studios in the early 1990s and purchasing The Weather Channel in 2018. Not long after, he partnered with Sinclair to purchase Fox Sports Networks. Here it is.
  9. Eh I’m sure she fully knows about the stuff that happened. However their feet weren’t as close to the fire then as they are now at present with pressure coming from the fans, media, NFL, and congress and they were already having convos about it. Ironically it’s largely Dan and Tanya’s fault because every time it was seemingly going away they would do something to bring it back to the spotlight. At what point does the fire get too hot that it’s no longer worth it?
  10. QB and mlb being the most important out of the three you mentioned. The WR group probably looks a lot different with elite qb play. Mcclaurin for example. Mcclaurin is the same type of meticulous worker Kupp is except mcclaurin has more natural ability. I fully believe Terry would make a Kupp level jump with good to elite qb level play. The point being that some of these guys that we look at as average could look a lot better than what they look presently. Not saying I wouldn’t want another WR cause I do just that it might not be as big a need as it looks at present.
  11. I just heard on bmitch and finlay that Tanya made comments back in September on Schefters podcast that her and Dan had discussed whether they’d had enough but that it wasn’t the message they wanna send to their kids but what that does tell me is they’ve atleast legitimately thought about it to me that’s kinda a big deal. To me that says that it’s gotten to a point where it’s no longer enjoyable to own the team anymore.
  12. If I had to guess it’s because with renewals times are based off tenure so they are having to sift through rsvps and put them in time slots based off tenure, where as ours are based off who put deposits in first. So we were given time with no rsvp.
  13. It’s part of reason I’ve said who I’ve said as potential owner. It’s somebody the league is familiar with having worked with them the last few years. Gives them the minority owner that they want. Someone who was reportedly interested in minority ownership when all that mess was going on. And keep in mind league wants To start pushing to more of a global brand. Who moves the needle more? I would think seeing shots of Queen B up in an ownership box week to week moves the needle more globally than seeing Bezos even with all his money.
  14. At the time league didn’t have the leverage to make that stick the way they do now. League had the leverage to put Jason in power and tell Dan to sit down and shut up to an extent anyways
  15. It’s not so much they are boys as much as rumors have been that Wagner wants out as well. Our other biggest need outside of qb is mlb. If we are giving up 1st round picks it makes it harder to draft one and the fa market is very weak at that position.
  16. Saw someone propose on Twitter we trade 2022 1, 2022 2, 2023 1, 2023 2, Payne, and sweat and possibly another late round pick for Wilson. Would you do it? I say yes but I’m trying to get Bobby Wagner coming back as well. Then im immediately resigning Tim Settle. He’s played very well when given the opportunity. Then in fa im going and grabbing Gregory to replace sweats production and hurt Dallas. Then im drafting a WR in the third round of the draft as it’s a fairly deep class. curious if other would do it.
  17. I’ve said before I wouldn’t be surprised to see a group led by Jay-z making a bid and I could see the NFL welcoming it.
  18. Not gonna post the exact comments or who they came but from what I was told was that Jason has made certain comments to people that make it sound like he might not be here long and also was told that the “joke” Dan made at the announcement about the name being the worst kept secret was 100% a shot at Jason.
  19. There’s a lot that’s going on for fans that tends to point more to Jason than Dan. The Park n Party, the free swag bags, the emails to season ticket holders for free items with the team logo, the jackets sent to fans, cutting the prices on club level to below league average and including parking and food with it, the new membership levels included in season tickets with all the free incentives that go with that. All of that speaks to Jason. Dans not doing all that I guarantee that.
  20. Jason has done a lot of good things that gets overlooked because of the very public mistakes. I’m assuming you know something that proves my suspicions are correct. 🤔
  21. I’ve suspected for a while that Jason was an NFL hire and a lot of the mistakes we attribute to Jason really are coming from Dan. I’ve heard some things recently that I won’t repeat here that tend to point to that as well. Part of the reason I’ve defended Jason is because of this. The NFL tried before with LaFemina but this time they had legit leverage to make Dan keep Jason around. And a lot of that goes back to the league has been very upset about the way this fan base has been deteriorating in this market.
  22. I know we’ve had our differences over Bezos but I would gladly stay at fedex another ten years to get rid of that SOB
