Kane well offside. Guess we get nothing from that **** Moss. Hope not to see him again rest of the season!

You can't be offside when it was last played by a Liverpool player though. Whether it was a dive or not is a close call though. I'd like to see it again.

Think a draw was fair overall. Think Spurs shaded it but a few close calls went their way tbf. Great game.

It's at least 2-0 without Sanchez in.  Trippier getting played off the park by Mane and Sanchez is running him down from behind.

Could be 2 or 3 because of Sanchez's mistakes! He's all over the shop in and out of possession imo. Looks very nervous.

  3. Think the last time Man Utd played a decent team away from home without Matic and Herrera starting was when they played Arsenal and conceded about 25 good chances.

Same again today, look absolutely wide open. Great game.

  4. VAR is a complete abortion of a system isn't it. Literally going to ruin football. I don't want to be celebrating a goal and have it in the back of my mind that it could get disallowed in two minutes. Awful.

  5. Yep it's not a tricky formula. The rose, 1919 and Leeds United/LUFC need inclusion, keep it nice and simple and job done. To be fair I always liked the shield we've been using the last 20 odd years even if it only really brings back horrendous memories.

  6. Literally never a dull day supporting Leeds. New crest an absolute monstrosity, making headline news kinda bad. 50k have signed a petition to change it in a few hours. https://www.change.org/p/andrea-radrizzani-stop-lufc-from-implementing-the-leeds-salute-crest

Absolutely zero chance that crest is staying. The fans just won't let it happen thank god.

He's not played much in the past month.  I think that might have to do with the attacking depth that Rovers have right now.  He was one of our main strikers at the beginning of the year and was scoring goals and then moved him to the left wing and he's been providing assists.  He had a really good run of form in October or November and I remember a lot of talk from fans wanting to sign him to a permanent deal around that time.  I think he's looked really good in League 1 (7 goals and 4 assists in like 20 games or something).  The fact he's played so much I think is a testament to him because Rovers seem to get a lot of loanees that they don't end up playing much.

Yeah I was thinking he'd gone a bit quiet recently. Felt like he was always scoring up till then. I liked him in the brief opportunities he got last season for us to be honest. Limited like, but there's talent there. Definitely an above average player in League 1 and probably serviceable in the Championship.

Blackburn are 16 unbeaten in the league and now sit in 2nd only two points behind Wigan.  Our joint top scorer is defender Charlie Mulgrew with 11.  On an impeccable run and a positive vibe back around Ewood that hasn't been there for the entirety of the Venky's tenure.

    Do you rate Marcus Antonsson?

That's why I laugh at @Morrison J and his "their spine is incredible" nonsense.  As right as he is that it's important, they don't have any balls.  When the going gets tough they thug it up.  Didn't get too out of hand today but they're as mentally weak as they are talented.  Kind of how Arsenal was a couple of years ago when they should've won the league.

It isn't nonsense that they have a good spine though to be fair. That's all I've ever said. Maybe you're making more of that than I am...

Maybe they are a bit mentally weak I dunno. They definitely have some pretty inconsistent players. Ali has taken a pretty big step back this year and Son goes from a world beater to being completely ineffective on a weekly basis. Alderweireld obviously a massive loss the past month or so too as was Eriksen today. Unreal how little creativity they had without him. Lack of strength in depth has been a problem with them for years. They have some very tough fixtures coming up and could well fall off the pace with the way they are going. Need everyone to get fit and quick.

It would depend.  Personally I make those decisions with my military career all of the time.  I can see that it was a dream move, but it was last summer and it easily could've been this coming summer.  That's all I'm saying.

In what scenario that could be related to Coutinho would you wait 6 months?

Coutinho wasn't given the option to go last summer but would've if Liverpool had made him available. Instead it seems he needed to do another few months of pounding the table behind the scenes till he got his way.

Liverpool far more comfortable in the knowledge that they have the quality to finish top 4 with Salah providing the attacking threat and VVD to shore up the defense (an attempt at signing a GK to come in Jan too surely). Those were questions that still needed answering last summer.

Makes sense for all parties to get it done now imo.

None of this answer the question of why it couldn't wait 6 months.

It does though. If someone said you can improve your lifestyle and career in virtually every way possible now or in 6 months time what would you choose?

I don't see any logic whatsoever to waiting another 6 months for Barca or Coutinho. Liverpool are still developing tbf and aren't winning anything this season.

I just don't understand why it had to be NOW.  He gains nothing.  Barca already have the league locked up and he can't play Champions League for them.

More money, more trophies, better lifesfyle, more glamorous club, better league, better teammates etc.

He gains a few things tbf.

For me, the way Suarez went around things was FAR worse. Another lad prepared to strike to force a move to F Arsenal of all teams before Stevie and a few others talked him down to stay a final year. Then bringing shame and embarrassment, not for the first time, on the club, his teammates and every last L’pool supporter out there with another bite in front of the World to calculatingly force L’pools hand and get his move.

Woah, to call that a reach would be an understatement :ols:

  13. I think 160 mill is crazy money tbh. For me, Coutinho is a brilliant player but not properly elite, top tier. When you think Liverpool paid 8 mill (?) for him it's actually some business.

I don't blame Coutinho at all either. There's no loyalty in football any more and exactly like Van Dijk did already this season, he's forced a move that gives him a better wage and a far better chance of winning trophies.

When Barca or Real come calling it's a matter of when not if.

The point couldn't f been any clearer so I'm not sure how you completely missed it.

You can't just loan a player to any club just to play him. It has to be the right club or else it's totally detrimental to his development.

A club scraping for there lives, who don't play football and are full of ****e, is not that "right" club.

Dunno why you have to undermine me with every single post but anyway that's besides the point...

I addressed why Sunderland is a fine move for him but you deleted that from what you quoted to suit your point. The football they play isn't even that bad at all either.

My personal view would be if Sunderland, a team full of garbage and scrapping for their lives battling relegation are the only option, his development would be far better served continuing to work day-in, day-out with the first team players and coaches at Melwood IMHO.

Plus he’d get the added the bonus of a run at the Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League whilst he’s still eligible.

Really? I don't think the benefit of proper competitive football playing at a decent standard can be underestimated. The Championship is a million miles tougher than the Youth Cup. Way more to be learned playing at that level.

If you look at the UK and Ireland's best players at the moment. Kane, Vardy, Alli, Lallana, Delph, Stones, Coleman, Bale, Ramsey etc etc. They all have the same thing in common, learned a lot of their trade in the lower leagues. I don't think that's a coincidence. Even nowadays when young footballers are being thrown thousands of pounds at a stupidly young age I don't think putting them out of their comfort zone and letting them see first hand how things aren't that easy does no harm.

Sunderland are a big club with high expectations. Seems a pretty great fit for a guy who's anticipated to be the next big thing at a club the size of Liverpool. Also the added bonus that he gets to work with someone like Chris Coleman again who clearly rates him highly and will give him ample opportunities.

  16. 75 mill is mental but then again 40 mill for Salah now looks like the bargain of the century. It's all relative to how the player performs really. If he helps fix that defense he'll be worth every penny.

Massively important signing for Liverpool. Still need a few more in but big step in the right direction.

For as much ****e as you type (presumably for reaction), you had to finally post something of substance at some point.

    Yay you! Have a cookie.
